Publisher's summary

Riley finally has love within his grasp, but the only way to protect it may be to let it go. With no more rules standing in their way, Riley Shepard and his angels test the boundaries of their new and unconventional relationship. Jealousy and doubt lie in wait, threatening to ruin the tenuous ties connecting them. But some things are always worth fighting for.

As the forces of Hell conspire against them, their list of allies dwindles, and the question of who to trust becomes an issue of life and death. There is always more to give, and to protect what Riley loves most, he must make an impossible choice. If the price for their lives is breaking their hearts, then Riley will pay it. There is no love without sacrifice.

Betrayal is the fourth book in the M/M+ harem/poly romance series, Fire & Brimstone, featuring hurt/comfort, insatiable guardian angels, sizzling encounters, and an unlikely hero who comes into his own.

NOTE: Betrayal does end in a cliff-hanger.

Trigger warnings include: violence, gore, death, and off-screen sexual assault.

fantastic!!!

In order to get the full scope of the story, you should listen to first three in the overall story arc. The story continues to have a ton of angst and serious tension! Riley has grown so much since the first story, actually the story focuses on growth of all. Some of the story line is starting to come together. There’s a villain milling about. This story had mystery, love, heartache, strength and compassion. Kirt Graves does a fantastic narrative, feels so realistic!! Overall, fantastic!!

I am crying - My heart is breaking - Noooooooo

I am crying - My heart is breaking - Noooooooo
I fell into this world on this episode (bad habit I know)
I hesitated so many times because this was so goooooooddd and I wanted to start from the beginning so I had a deeper connection
However - after a few chapters I was too invested to quit
Yes, it is that GOOD!
I finished this but I am buying the first three and doing it right

I want to wrap Riley in bubble wrap - protect him from all the evil, the betrayals, the hurt

The Seven want Riley and have no limits when it comes to what they have to do to acquire him
The council wants Riley their approach is to play nice in the hopes to manipulate his will
His guardians? They love Riley and will trade their lives for his no hidden motives

Riley?
Just wants a chance to be accepted, to love and be loved, to live life for once on his terms

This has everything
Suspense in spades
Angst bubbling out of the speakers (it's audio)
Strong characters that endear or offend
Detailed world-building that transports the listener
And the narrator - Spot on!

I cringed, I cried, I laughed
One of the best books of this year

A much needed, temporary break from the angst.

Beautiful and much needed Gideon and Riley moments. Jai and Noelle getting closer and in general the family living their best life. Riley has grown so much and his development, along with everyone else, is what makes these books so good. The end seemed inevitable and all the good things before it made it hurt that much more. Afraid and excited to start the next one.

Love this series!

Betrayal is Book 4 in the Fire & Brimstone Scrolls series. This is a continuous story and the books need to enjoyed in order. I love this series and can't get enough of this world. In this book Riley is back home with his angels and they're learning how to be in a relationship altogether, even Gideon. Lucifer is out there just waiting until the right time to strike. This book is intense and heartbreaking at times, but also sweet and comforting. Riley goes through a lot and by the end he has to make a difficult decision. But when is he not needing to make a difficult decisions? I can't wait to see what's next to Riley, his angels, and everyone else. I definitely recommend this series.
Narrator Kirt Graves does another amazing job in this series. He is a joy to listen to as he brings all the emotions out in his storytelling. It's more than just listening to the book; it's feeling the story.

Probably the Lightest one yet

This book was probably the lightest one in the series except for the way it ended. I loved watching their love build and that date between Riley and Gideon was absolutely hilarious. After the climax though, I'm scared to read what happens next because I know it's going to be horrible. It's a train wreck and I can't help but watch it happens.

The audio narration was so freaking good, and I absolutely loved listening to their story again.

*I received an ARC of this audiobook, and this is my honest review.*

A Riveting & Beautifully Emotional Story & Listen🎧

Nikole Knight delivers another fascinating installment in her “Fire & Brimstone Scrolls”, picking up where the last book left off. Riley and his angels have been thru a lot, and this book starts off with them settling into their new lives and living situation. Riley has grown a lot since we first met him in the first book and he is finally becoming his own person, he knows who and what he is, but he still has a way to go and continues to work on it. He is also more confident with his men, Jai, Noel and Gideon, exploring each individually and together, which I loved, especially with Gideon. We get to see the softer and loving sides of these characters, but peace is not in their future and there is a betrayer amongst them who allows evil in. Riley learns more about his parents, he also learns that sometimes you have to a sacrifice for those you love. This amazing paranormal fantasy is well-written and brilliantly plotted with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, action, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense and some sweet and spicy romance. Nikole Knight, thank you for another thrilling and brilliantly captivating story, that ending nearly tore my heart out.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Kirt Graves continues to deliver another outstanding performance, bringing these characters and their stories to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, giving each a voice that fits each character’s persona perfectly. sounding believable and just as I picture the character to sound. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance. This fabulously talented narrator and versatile voice artist is a pleasure to listen to, and his narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.
