About this listen

Rhys Courtland's four-year-old daughter wants a sibling, but he's a grieving widower and not ready to move on. His daughter's innocent suggestion that he should have a baby with the nanny sparks an idea, and he sets out to seduce Ava, planning to get her pregnant before gradually cooling down the relationship. It's only after he sets his scheme in motion that he realizes the flaw in his plan. He didn't anticipate developing feelings for her, and now he has to decide if he wants to stay his dead wife's faithful husband, or let go of his grief and seize an unexpected second chance at happiness.

Great Story, terrible narrator.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I like the title and the story. But I could not stand to listen to Jeff Walden's narration. He read in a monotone voice without any emotion. When listening, I had to turn the volume all the way up to hear him. This narrator read the story without any emotion or animation. I was only able to listen to a part of it. I wish they would release it again with a different narrator.

What other book might you compare Billionaire's Baby Deception to and why?

In content I would compare it to My forever Family. But because of the narrator, it was not an enjoyable experience.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jeff Werden’s performances?

Yes, but I will check to make sure that Jeff Walden is not the narrator.

Could you see Billionaire's Baby Deception being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Don't think so.

Any additional comments?

Hey, Mia Caldwell, you write good books. Why don't you pay a person who is skilled in reading scripts and making them sound interesting to narrate them for you?

I just finished and nothing stood out

I just finish this read and there was nothing about it that carried over and it's only been an hour. the narrator did a better job than I have heard on previous books from this author, but it too was nothing that truly stood out.

Happy Family

After losing his wife Reese was closed and felt he would never love or marry again. Riley, his daughter, had a different view. She wanted a baby sister but told Santa she would take a brother if that was all he had. Reese didn’t want Riley to grow up as an only child so he thought about asking Ava to be a surrogate but realized she wouldn’t want to hand her baby over and not be a part of its life. Solution: Get her pregnant but not love or marry her. Too bad he wasn’t in control of that. He and Ava got married and if took 6 months before she conceived. When Christmas came Riley was opening her gifts that had a couple of clues: a pink shirt that said Big Sister and a blue shirt that said Little Brother.

o.k. bwwm fantasy love story..

This is an ok fantasy bwwm love story. Because bwwm love stories are rare and hard to find. I will give ANY the benefit of the doubt. I do enjoy Mia Caldwell stories even though I don't really like stories of couples being together due to pregnencies or via babies.. But, this was an o.k. story. worth a purchase?? Flip a coin.

Cute short story but...

The narrator sounded like he needed a sinus rinse. I seriously almost couldn’t finish listening because his stuffy nose voice was so unpleasant AND his reading was on par with my son when he was reading a story out loud at the age of 10.

I’m an audible crackhead and I’ve listened to so many great voices, that it’s just too hard to go down in quality.
