This Russian Language Audio Program is Hot!
If you could sum up Bite-Sized Russian in Ten Minutes a Day - 5 One Hour Audio Lessons in three words, what would they be?
Listen. Speak. Remember.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bite-Sized Russian in Ten Minutes a Day - 5 One Hour Audio Lessons?
When I began to get the pronunciation right!
Any additional comments?
The Cold War may be over but this Russian language program is hot! Every English speaking tourist should download this audio program before boarding for that long flight to Moscow or Sochi. Wouldn’t it be fun to exchange a few words between Olympic events or at the Bolshoi – in Russian! – with the Russian spectators sitting next to you?
I won’t try to kid you. If you have no prior experience with Russian, these lessons are challenging. But they are not impossible. Far from it. The key is listening, remembering and repeating over and over again, while learning to create original sentences. The worst for me was the first section or so. The sounds were so strange to me. I really struggled for the first hour or so. I must have mentally adjusted to the Russian language sounds because I found that it became easier to pronounce as I went along, even new material. Don’t give up! Nothing rewarding comes without some effort.
Time and diligent attention to this downloadable Russian language audio program will pay off. At five and a quarter hours you certainly get your money’s worth. One more thing. “Ten Minutes a Day” is part of the title of this Russian program. Don’t try to learn it all at once. I’d say ten or twenty minutes at one time is good enough except for those days when you’re really motivated.

I was happily surprised
Any additional comments?
Russian is not an easy language to speak and I have struggled to learn it. My wife is Russian and we try to speak it at home. On a whim, I decided to try BiteSized Russian and was happily surprised. My Russian in-laws are amazed at all the cool things I can now say in their language.

Poor Quality Control
Any additional comments?
The format is excellent but even though I am only in lesson 2, I have noticed the following. First there is no written guide to accompany the audio. This makes the process of learning that much more difficult. Secondly I with my limited knowledge of Russian have come across errors such as the Russian pronunciation of Book which should be Kaneega but in the audio it is pronounced as Kaneeshna. That is not very inspiring as I do not know as to what other mistakes there will be. The publisher should do a proper quality check before putting a product in the market.
