A laugh out loud chick lit/romantic comedy about work, water and wine.
Twenty-seven-year-old Ella Taylor is having a tough time:
Her mum's recently died.
She's been cheated out of a promotion at work.
Her new boss is a Barbie doll who models herself on Gwyneth Paltrow.
She's living in a horrible bedsit.
The hot guy upstairs thinks she's an idiot in a Kermit the Frog onesie .
And now she's inherited a rundown cottage in a hick village with a bunch of conditions attached.
A funny, quirky, and light-hearted British romantic comedy with a bit of a mystery on the side.

The other disappointment was the heroine: a bitter bitch. Even though she was just over some hard times, nobody needs to become bitter, bitchy and vindictive. Plus, she was emotionally leeching on her friend all the time, yet she was never available to her. It didn't help that halfway in the story her bff turned out to be jealous of her out of the blue.
Last, the story was extremely slow and I couldn't find much humour in it. For example, nothing happened until chapter 4, and all jokes were on the expense of somebody. Maybe it's just me, but I cannot laugh on others' expense.
Horrible heroine, ancient narration
