About this listen

When Clay Garner returns to Montana after 20 years, he is burned out by too many years of police work. Looking for peace and quiet, his life is instead thrown into turmoil when his wife and son are kidnapped, forcing him to use his FBI training to save them.

this needs a sound edit

It's a good book, an engaging story, and the narrator is good . . . but somehow no one edited the transcription, so there are instances where you can hear the narrator pause, rewind, start again, say 'let's try that again . . .'. Such interruptions demolish the illusion, call attention to the fact some guy is sitting somewhere attached to a machine, reading the book. While that might be acceptable when at a live reading or bedtime storytelling, for a book people pay money for, a higher level of professionalism is mandatory.
