Publisher's summary

When a mummified foot, a pile of bones, and a split skull are discovered in a Danish bog, is it a case for the police or archaeologists? It becomes a case for chief inspector Tobias Lange when it is confirmed the remains are those of a young male, early twenties, beaten to death with a blunt instrument about two decades earlier.

Tobias finds himself on the trail of eco-warriors, Sami protesters safeguarding reindeer rights in Lapland, and a disaffected young woman estranged from her family. Then another incomplete set of human bones turns up, and then another. When the trail takes a turn into a murky world of sex trafficking and illegal immigrants, Tobias starts to fear for his eco-warrior daughter Agnes.

Bogman

This was a very good book.I am not sure why an American narrator was chosen.I think a English accent would have worked better.Andre B Wehrlen is a wonderful narrator, though he spoke too fast in most places.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

English language detective drama set in Scandinav

Good police/detective story involving one old and one new mystery, and two different police units. A bit confusing and I had to replay some of the audiobook to clear up some confusion. . I had to set the narration speed at 75% because sometimes the story was read in a very fast pace. The story line was good and well thought out and the characters well developed, especially Tobias whose OCD tendencies make him very endearing. No other books on Amazon by this author so maybe this is his first book. I hope to see more of his work in the future.

very impressed

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. This book was surprisingly a lot better than i thought it would be when i first started it. Also wasn't a huge fan of the narrator at first, but then he got better. The story was very good and pretty original. I liked that it was very detailed as far as telling you what was happening in the investigation of the murder. There was just enough forensic science and anthropology mixed in as well. very well worth your time to read this one.
