About this listen

"Bobby called. He's coming to California. He wants to see me."

Drawing on secret police files, Marilyn Monroe's private diary, and never before published first-hand testimony, this book proves that Robert Kennedy was directly responsible for her death. It details the legendary star's tumultuous personal involvement with him and his brother, President John Kennedy, and how they sought to silence her.

The new evidence and testimony is provided by Mike Rothmiller who, as a detective of the Organized Crime Intelligence Division (OCID) of the LAPD, had direct personal access to hundreds of secret LAPD files on exactly what happened at Marilyn Monroe's Californian home on August 5, 1962.

Rothmiller used that secret information to get to the heart of the matter, to the people who were there the night Marilyn died—two of whom played major roles in the cover-up—and the wider conspiracy to protect the Kennedys at all costs.

There will be those with doubts, but to them, the lawman—who directed international intelligence operations targeting organized crime—says the printed, forensic and oral evidence are totally convincing.

A must listen!

Such a clear and concise book. I could not stop listening. Highly recommend to anyone who loves conspiracy, politics and old Hollywood. Loved the narrator too!

Bombshell IS a Bombshell

I have read Mark Shaw’s version of events, as told by the men who claimed responsibility…and Bobby Kennedy and Peter Lawford were “in attendance,” but this pins responsibility squarely on Robert Kennedy. We reap what we sow.

We’ll done

The Kennedy’s both father and sons were protected by their money and dubious friends. None of them had any regard for ethics . All of them killed to protect the public image. More than a few eye opening facts here. JFK was planning to send more troops to Vietnam , 10 shots at Bobby from a six shot revolver. Smoke clouds and BS continues to this day.

Interesting

The sources appear reliable. If it really happened the way they said then a mystery has been solved. On the other hand, it doesn’t really pass the Occam’s Razor test. It’s up to the reader to decide what to believe.

I found the first half of the book rather boring but in the second half, all the dirt was spilled and it got very interesting.

The stuff about Daryl Gates spying on the rich and famous is fact. I remember the scandal from my days in So Cal and I’m sure you can access it on the internet.

The narrator had a rather insinuating, thrilling type voice and I had to get used to it. Whatever it was about it just made me less inclined to believe what I was hearing.

Fascinating

There's so much detail and lots of connection to primary documentation that this seems to be believable/reliable. It most certainly is interesting and does a thorough job of connecting the dots.

Murder of the Phenix

Murdered. MM was more experienced w life & Hollywood at 36. More experienced w ups & downs & disappointment in men & career. She had won back on top looking forward to her next projects bouncing back as a Phenix does. I feel entities that wished to harm, ruin, embarrass the Kennedy Brothers (or, even entities who wanted to protect them & the positions they held) were at work in her Murder. I think she knew the brothers reputation w the many other Hollywood Women & knew this was just a fling. Peter Lawford was an unfortunate Drunk. His last wife said you couldn’t believe anything he said regarding Marilyn.. Reveal of hidden police observations & diary were interesting.

I totally believe this. Sickening how people in power can get away with things like this

Great book!

Very informative and interesting! It’s also the only book on Marilyn Monroe that I’ve actually finished. Will probably read again just because it’s so good!

Petulant RFK

I guess the street of the pending Cuban missile crisis led to these awful decisions by the brothers? They eventually pad the price. Outstanding storyline and factual details. First rate production!

The Best Book on Marilyn Monroe’s Murder & Cover-up

Finally, I’ve read a book that gives what sounds like the truth about Marilyn’s murder. As a skeptical criminal defense attorney, with over 30 yrs practicing law, this is the first and will likely be the last book I will need to read for the truth. He doesn’t exaggerate & admits pieces he doesn’t know for sure. If you’re looking for the definitive book on her death & the cover-up, this is it.
