Cute comedy

A nice break from reality. Not a real believable story but has some laughs. Wasn't a waste of time, lol

Not my cup of tea.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am not a prude nor do I normally object to profanity, but I found this book a bit offensive on several levels. Maybe a man would enjoy it more?

What was most disappointing about Alex Lizzi Jr.’s story?

Aside from the above, I found it quite hard to follow - couldn't keep track of which character they were jumping back and forth to.

Would you be willing to try another one of Larry A. Brewer’s performances?

No, I did not enjoy his narration.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Not really, I can't remember enjoying a book less. I rarely give a book 2 stars.

Any additional comments?

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. If I hadn't been, I think I would have requested a refund.

I think the story line had promise but overall, I was extremely disappointed in it.

Good story. Awful ending.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The ending was too abrupt. It was almost like the author got tired of writing it and just decided to end it.

Would you recommend Bonding to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. Just warn them about the ending.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes

Did Bonding inspire you to do anything?

No

Funny and confusing

I will start by saying I received this book st no charge in order to give an honest review. So here goes. The story itself is funny as all get out. The whole thing is filled with wacky characters that are both interesting and irritating. What I had a hard time with was the narration. While he did an excellent job with the male characters he used the same voice for many of the female voices? Not all mind you but a good many of them. It became very hard to know who was who. I listen to this on a road trip with my husband. He chuckled and enjoyed it very much but kept interrupting it to ask me who was who. So it wasn't just me getting confused. There was also no pause or break to give you a sense of change in places or new sets of characters and there are a lot to keep track of: I think the author should have given us a little more atmosphere such as : meanwhile back at the truck stop Billy Bob and Vernon. Among the glittering lights of the neon bar lights sat the three men deep in conversation. Something to put us back in each of the places as the story jumps around. I was never sure where we where the police station, blue balls, truck stop, Virginia? It was confusing. Still even as jumbled and confusing as it was it was funny. 👍🏻

The Family Vacation from Down Below

What did you love best about Bonding?

The story was great. You could just imagine yourself in the car going on this vacation with them.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loved the Rizzo family in general. They were just a family who had everything go wrong.

Have you listened to any of Larry A. Brewer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first time listening to Larry A. Brewer. He did not disappoint with his narration. His voice gave life to the characters and the story.

If you could take any character from Bonding out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Have to be the whole Rizzo family just so they can tell me some more of their stories.

Bonding: A Rizzo Family Vacation

Bonding The Rizzo's Family Vacation
: Alex Lizzi Jr.

This is an absolutely hilarious, light hearted book. I loved following the family on their cross country vacation. All I could do was laugh out loud.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Larry A. Brewer had me wanting to strangle some characters while wanting to feed others chicken soup.
