Tennis' golden boy Travis Montgomery is at the apex of his life and his young career after winning the US Open yet, his mind and heart is somewhere else. Somewhere deep inside the closet of his past and the secrets he hides even from those who are the closest to him. He is flashing back on another time, another dream, and another love when he is reminded of the only success that eludes him.
Fresh out of medical school, Dr. Ashton Kennedy moves back to Seattle to complete his medical training and start the new beginning he has wanted since Travis walked away six years ago. The task is proving to be harder than he anticipated, especially when Travis returns waving a white flag.
What will happen when these two men meet again after six long years? Will Ashton get his questions answered or will Travis’ ambition force him even deeper into the closet?
Heartfelt and sometimes comical, Break Point is a story about friendship, love, forgiveness, and living an authentic life.

How do you get your heart broken by the same guy twice? Just ask Ash. And who can blame him though?
I felt every emotion, especially Ash's and I fell in love with his character from the get go. And even though I was mas at Travis for most of the book, I understood what he was going through and why he made the decisions he did.
Very well written story that left me fully satiated.
Awesome book🥳🥳🥳
ps: Audiobooks makes everything better and this narrator was tha bomb!!!
Raw and Enthralling

spice: 🌶️🌶️
feelings: 😭🥰🥵😍🫠😡😄
narration:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Break Point is the story of Travis and Ashton. It is wonderfully written. The characters are very well developed, right down to the supporting roles. The backstory, which is told in flashbacks, connected me deeply with both of them. I love Ashton and Travis' BFFs. Aaliyah in particular made me laugh out loud a lot.
Michael Dean has brought this emotional rollercoaster to life perfectly!
Beautiful 😊

Travis was such an amazing character. He is extremely vulnerable and raw. Travis’ struggles make you want to reach into the book and give him a hug. And then there is Ashton. He is so sure of himself, a successful doctor trying to forget his past and move on with his life. But how do you forget your best friend and first love? This book was beautifully written! It was so heartfelt and raw. I didn’t want it to end.
Garry Michael’s writing is captivating, beautiful and emotional. From the very first listen I couldn’t wait to see where he went with this story. I can’t wait to read so many more amazing books by him!
Absolutely Beautiful Love Story!!!

It’s not your ordinary sports romance story with an athlete so far in the closet, he’s in Narnia. Well, there’s that, but it’s so much more.
The story is told with both MCs’ POV: Travis and Ash. Best friends, inseparable and irrevocably in love, until life happens. The story flows seamlessly, between flashbacks and current narrative from both characters. It all unfolds and layers get unpacked carefully as the story goes.
This book packs a punch, emotionally. The message imparted hold so much weight. The chemistry between Ash and Travis is unreal. Their connection, their reconnecting, how the conflict was resolved and the epilogue, they were all seamless. The pacing is just right.
My favorite part about this book is not just the connection between Travis and Ash, but also their connection to the people around them, their family, their friends. The different layers and dynamics, even conflicts. It makes the characters more relatable and fleshed out.
If you’re looking for a well-written sports romance, best friends to lovers who got their second chance, solid supportive well-meaning family and friends, sprinkled with sass and humor plus sizzling steam and palpable chemistry between two MCs, then this one is for you.
Bonus points: Michael Dean’s narration is excellent, per usual.
My only gripe is the book needs to be longer. 😉
This one is an ace! 👏🏼

A Wonderful Love Story

The narrator is perfection
The writing is fine. There are a LOT OF "he said" and "she asked" but it's fine . It's not a bad story is just not a great story , certainly not a 5⭐️ story. Why ? First of all ... I struggled HARD to like Travis - he's so unbelievably selfish. It's fine if you don't want to come out . You do you. But to drag this "one true love" through the dirt and then go back like nothing happened ? I just couldn't grab onto him - which suggests that the author either undermanaged his character development or did that on purpose . So very selfish & when we find out why he broke Ash's heart (which was also done in an extremely self centered way for someone who professed to love Ash) it is hardly noteworthy enough for such an extreme life choice .
And Ashton ... good lord I hope any surgeon I have has a lot more confidence and back bone than he does . He has these moment of self assurance and then he just melts down
Like Frosty in the springtime
And there's so much cryingggggg . Are these adults or 7 year olds ?
It's a fine story but it's not great. If you like angst and unnecessary drama click away
Are you KIDDING ME!?
