Great story

This a great story with a really great narrator! One thing I would change is the pronunciation of Lima, Ohio....it’s pronounced like Lima Beans, not Lima, Peru.

Whew! You won’t be bored with this high octane story!

Fast paced story told from 3 POVS…Army Specialist Rebecca Finlan is leading a convoy carrying top secret weaponry when they are ambushed and her team is killed…including her CO, and bf, Jackson. The high jackers have also kidnapped the wife of a SEAL. We know that this won’t end well. Great story and narration.

Couldn’t stop listening to the end!

Although the story drags in a few places, it picks back up to keep your interest going. It was sometimes hard to tell which character was speaking because the narrator interchanged them between characters. For example Ty and Crow. On the female voices, the narrator would also vary between a high, squeaky voice and a well-modulated voice. This was not due to the story’s situation. I still wasn’t able to stop until the end of the story.

Love of country or life?

Good gosh! Kimberley Troutte provides us with another fine story. Perhaps she was just getting warmed up with the first two books of this series. Army Specialist Rebecca Finlan was a motivated, determined young woman who wanted to learn everything she could about large vehicles and long-haul trucking. She wanted to fulfill her deceased father’s dream of owning a father/daughter trucking company. If not that, then she wanted a life with her lover and Commanding Officer, Jackson. Commanding Officer? I heard a couple of people call him Sargeant First Class. Which is right? Can’t be both. When her time in the Army was up she was going to go home to fulfill one dream unless Jackson “proposed” something different. Jackson had assigned Rebecca to drive the lead truck in a convoy carrying Top Secret equipment. The convoy is ambushed, Rebecca is taken prisoner, but remained driving to call in at specific times. Another hostage is taken and delivered to the convoy, but that would be giving away too much. This brings us to the main point of the story from which the remainder flows. The circumstances within the convoy, the efforts to regain control of it, and the hostages, which include the EXtreme Team, make up the remainder of the story. It’s not a bad story, not as good as book three, but better than books one and two. The telepathic communication between Rebecca and Jackson seemed more like filler, as it didn’t add to or progress the story arc. There are a couple of twists in the plot, not a lot of action, but the tension is kept high due to the hostages.

Full of action and love

A great double story of two couples during the same mission. I wondered if we’d hear about how Tavon & his wife got together, you hear that & much more. I really enjoyed both couples stories and more how the team works with others. Great storyline, loved Jackson & Rebecca, hope we might hear more about them in the next book. Great narration by Noah Michael Levine.

Best of the series so far

At least the women in this book weren’t so helpless. There was actual action throughout the book instead of in just the last 30 mins. I enjoy this book very much.

Heat brought

Loved that this one had Army & Navy working together (while still giving each other $#it) and that both couples had their own things to work through. A little on the unrealistic side but still a fun addition to the series.
