About this listen

Off-limits. That’s what Jude is to me.

My older brother doesn’t trust me with his player of a best friend, which is totally fine, because I’m not interested.

As Jude and I reluctantly become friends, I start to see that there’s more to him than others notice. But I still won’t go there, not when I have a crush on someone else. But Jude’s the perfect person to help show me the ropes when it comes to the opposite sex, besides it’s not like he’ll get attached to me.

Except he does. And the thing about broken boys? They’re way too easy to fall for.

Brother’s best friend, college romance!

3.5 stars. Broken Boys Can’t Love is the fifth boy in The Boys series by Micalea Smeltzer. This is a contemporary, new adult (college), sports romance series (although the sports is super light in the whole series). And in this one we have brother’s best friend and forced proximity(they become roommates)!

Jude and Millie end up housemates in college, even sharing a bathroom. Jude is her brother Cree’s best friend (the hero of the previous book). Millie has been a ballet dancer her whole life but she doesn’t want to become a ballerina, instead she wants to teach dance or something along those lines. She ends up becoming friends with Jude and even asks his help with intimacy (she’s a virgin) when she’s interested in someone else. This whole series is just fun and low angst, I do wish we got more sports action but I’ve come to just realize that isn’t going to be the case with this series. 😅 This was an easy listen, as I’ve done the audiobooks for most of the series. But the first 2 in the series remain my favs!

Fantastic narrators and a great story

I’m loving the boys series. Jude and Millie’s story is sweet and a little angsty. Really enjoyed the story and always love Savannah Peachwood and Stephen Dexter!
