About this listen

For six years, Sophia Brinkley vowed to not only track down the top human traffickers in the world, but destroy their inner circle. Her passion and drive, fueled by her mother’s traumatizing experience, only grew over time as she fought for the opportunity to prove herself.

When Sophia is offered the chance of a lifetime, she is less than thrilled to be going undercover with a partner, not to mention having to portray a happy bride to the handsome Marcus Garcia. As challenging as their relationship is, Sophia finds herself falling for the alluring agent who struggles to separate their cover from reality.

Marcus’s protective nature goes into overdrive as Sophia puts herself in the line of fire for imprisoned victims. But nothing goes as planned as she finds herself in the center of hell, surrounded by broken women and children.

After stumbling onto this title, I finished it in less than 2 days! I was able to easily follow the story even though I hadn't read the first book in the series. It sounds like Broken Trust picks up about 6 years after the ending of the first book, and the author throws in occasional tidbits of back-story as needed to allow this book to be enjoyed as a standalone. The story was very well written, and the narration was flawless; The narrator has a sexy voice while still being able to clearly differentiate between many characters, male and female. I will definitely look for more work by both the author and narrator.

A great book!
