Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
For 30 years, they have avoided the outbreak of walking death that has consumed America's heartland. They have secured a small compound near the ruins of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Isolated from the world, they have remained blissfully unaware of what lies outside in the region known as the Dead Lands. Until now. Led by a military vet who's seen better days, the inexperienced offspring of the original survivors form a small expedition to explore the wastelands around them. Small pockets of humanity hide in the shadows: some scared, some mad, all dangerous. This is the New World.

Good story with good characters
I hated that it didn’t have a real person reading it. Story was mostly awesome and would have been better with someone reading it, If there is a sequel maybe have a character in a relationship. Thought it would happen in the beginning but Brie got obsessed with finding her sister so no relationship. When Brie find her sister, she’s not really in the book anymore and it shoulders that way. Main character and the cat is pretty cool but I think the author should have made Tiffany a little closer instead of just a fighting partner. Author finally gets them to talk about their felling! I don’t want to give it away but this pair didn’t last long. Good book and author but find a live person to read next time .

Story moved at a good pace.
I do not like audiobooks read by AI. The audiobook was good other than the mispronunciations.

Very mixed opinions....
I'm sorry, the performance was truly missing the human element.
I just don't think we're there yet with computer generated narration.
I tried to make it through the entire book and I came close. A lot of it felt like the author was a teenage robot as well. Maybe my brain had difficulty distinguishing the computer narration from what the author put down on paper. Not sure where I have trouble with all of this.
I can certainly appreciate the amount of work the author put into writing this book. Thank you for sharing

Really????
This listen was free and Audible owes me a credit for pain and suffering, and if they do not grant me one, we will meet in the Peoples Court. Better yet, Judge Judy, one listen to this and she will join me and help find others so we can file a class action suit. Are you kidding me, we have an extinction level event that delivers zombies, fake armies, absentee government, decimated cities, and no clue why or how in the most populated state in the nation. Every male character was completely emasculated and useless and did enough crying to end a drought. Every woman character was strong and kick ass which I like but damn....okay, you do not have to emasculate men to have strong female characters. Also, since the story did not start with "once upon a time," I am assuming we wanted to at least border the realm of probability.....you missed, the female lead was driving a GTR 90 plus miles an hour everywhere and dodging zombies and other obstacles and stopped for gas once. The poor male character was driving a mini van and hit everything twice driving the speed limit...really? You introduced elements of aliens or the super natural in the hotel in Vegas with the shadows appearing and talking and attacking.... yes readers of this review I too am waiting for an explanation that's why there is not one here. You had the fake military evacuating people to a school shelter and creeping out in the middle of the night and letting Zombies in for a refugee buffett and well..... inquiry minds would like to know why. I could go on and on but you get the point. And lastly the A.I. reading....let's just say NO and leave it at that. In conclusion I truly admire those who follow their passions and dreams and are brave enough to go to print as it were, I am a fan, just write with an audience in mind next time so you will stop and ask questions about what you just wrote and see if an answer is there, if not....rewrite.

Just bad.
It was either the extremely poorly written or the AI reader really sucked. The grammar was so bad that I had to rewind some parts to try to figure out what was being said.
The story was okay but some of it made no sense… at all.
But I will say that the AI voice saying “Oh F*ck” in his monotone voice was pretty funny.
