Wil Wheaton provides masterful performance!

While short, the author not only provides interesting characters, and great plot twists. it also gives us an atypical vision of the future, all in all though it is the performance where the story lives!

Been a fan of this series for years

It's to bad there are no new books or stories in this series through Audible. I've enjoyed each and everyone of them. Wil Wheaton does a great job reading this story! The story is simple and enjoyable, but will keep you guessing until the end!

What an insightful, short and sweet comment on where mankind is going!

I loved this little thought provoking gem on the downhill slide that separatism will continue to cause in our country, and the world at large.
IDIOCRACY is already more than halfway upon us, and the idea that the co-mingling of ideas, cultures and perspectives can only lead to creativity and invention is so seductive and inspiring.
Also, Wil Wheaton’s narration just continues to improve as he matures. What was once a little boyish over-enthusiasm in his delivery, is now more calm, realistic and lovely on the ears.

A predictable twist but still quite enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed the original METAtropolis, and though I didn’t enjoy the two full-length sequel collections quite as much, I appreciated the approach of authors co-creating a world based on a few parameters. Their disparate yet interconnected exploration of this dystopian North America was more interesting than other stories I’ve read in this genre. This short story fit with the original themes and quality, and though the twist was predictable, the political commentary was concise yet insightful. Looking forward to more!

Political opinions

The author has strong ideas about ecology, immigration, population, suburbs, energy, etc. and expressed them clearly in this story. I’m glad it is short.
