About this listen

Elaine Tracy wins a luxury cruise to Las Palmas for her fiancé and herself. They quarrel, and Elaine breaks off the engagement but decides to go on the cruise alone. Attractive and unattached, once on board she inevitably draws a certain amount of masculine attention and for her, the holiday promises to be extremely diverting. But not all her fellow passengers, she discovers, are quite what they seem.

Anothe4 Enjoyable Wscap!

i lovd the combination of old world travel, humorous dialogue, and amusing characters that fill this book. At this time of travel cancelations and solo socializing, Canary Yellow is a real treat - very light romance for very dark times.

See what can happen when you win a cruise to Las Palmas!

Such a treat to have this Elizabeth Cadell book so beautifully narrated by her daughter, Janet Reynolds. This is one of eight so far, she has narrated of her mother’s fabulous books.
It’s long been a favorite of mine - the gentle romance, the mystery and the travel.
Now thankfully, it’s available on Audible. I hope many more by the wonderful author become available in this format.

Delightful as usual!!

I have been an Elizabeth Cadell fan for many years and was so very happy to fine some of them available on Audible. I hope they keep coming.

This one is a particular favorite and her daughter does a good job narrating. Very enjoyable mystery and romance with Cadell’s trademark humor and psychological insights.

A boat, a couple of beaus and a mysterious woman

I like Elizabeth Cadell’s books and her daughter’s narration is spectacular. This book is enjoyable but not her very best. It reads more as a traditional 1965 romance with a bit of a mystery. I like the main character Elaine but she’s an uninspired and uninspiring heroine. If you have modern sensibilities then her lack of gumption will get to you. It’s a better book if you look at it as a period piece and these characters are simply expressing normal thoughts and values.
