About this listen

Old Mrs. Lauder was as loathsome as her lilies were lovely. Every year, the vicar had hoped for a change of heart in this sinister woman whose murder brought fear and suspicion to the village, to the church, and the lilies she had denied them every Easter while she lived.

But somewhere in those waxen blooms, there was a message and a danger signal.

Elizabeth Cadell even makes murder civilized. ❤️ I hope they make more of her books in audible.

Sigh... Consider the Lilies is a beautiful romance within a suspenseful mystery. Oh how I enjoyed it!
The narration is wonderful as always by the author’s daughter, Janet Reynolds. May there be many more Elizabeth Cadell audiobooks narrated by her!

I didn’t want it to end!

how did this book get such a high rating? it’s soooo boring! and the narrator sounds the same whether she’s speaking as a young woman, old woman, or a man - she always sounds like a 75 year-old woman! could not finish - will go back to Agatha Christie and Anthony Trollope (my old reliables)

don’t understand
