Próspero médico de cabecera en Ámsterdam, Marc Schlosser ejerce su profesión con cierta dosis de cinismo. Su nutrida clientela valora especialmente el tiempo que dedica a las consultas, pero esta aparente generosidad esconde unas intenciones menos nobles, que Marc disimula con habilidad.
