long

20 books in a series is a dream come true and a curse. If you enjoy the first book you'll get hooked to listen to the rest. I like the characters and the story is unique and is sold well. The story moves a little slow and the characters could use a little more depth. The characters do get .ore depth but only after multiple books. He spends to much time describing objects. like it's a screen play.

I'm glad I started it.

Fantastic! A great continuation of the story.

If you could sum up Celestia CV-02 in three words, what would they be?

This series continues to get better and better, Mr Brown has done a great job at keeping the reader interested and looking forward... Now that the series is back in Sol it is like a whole new series with the same characters we love, I like to think that Mr. Brown naming the book Celestia CV-02 while the first was Aurora CV-01 was an intentional wink at this...

I am eagerly looking forward to book 9, get on it audible!

Engaging

At the end of the last book, the earth was now under control of the Jung Empire and the Aurora barely escaped capture. She is very low on fuel and must find some immediately. This series must be read in order.

Brown uses this episode to tell how earth fell to the Jung Empire while the Aurora was trying to find its way back to earth. The Celestia is the sister ship to the Aurora. We are introduced to some new characters in this episode. The ending caught me by surprise and is a cliff hanger.

Brown’s writing abilities have improved with each book in the series. He is rapidly becoming a master storyteller. The book seems a bit slow but I think the feeling comes from the effect of filling in what had happened on earth while the Aurora was away.

Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating this series. Kafer is an actor and award winning audiobook narrator.

A new crew and new characters!

If you've made it to book 8, you'll undoubtedly continue on as Celestia delivers as expected. We are introduced to new characters and the back story of what happened to Earth while the Aurora was away. I was unsure if I wanted to hear an entire novel about past events, but was pleasantly surprised at the depth and quality of story. Well worth a listen!

A gambit of highs and lows

Celestia CV-02 is a wringer! Every emotion is spent somewhere in the book which covers so much. It chills the soul with the subjugation of Earth by the Cheng, a merciless enemy but that raises the question of why not the total destruction of earth? But celebrations erupt when our flying duo survive, the Celestia survives, and the unique crew of the Aurora paste the Cheng with greater efficiency. Sorrow as we watch the retrieved tapes of the days before the Earths invasion. Anger when the viper in our midst is revealed. Hope at the end of the book when our feckless Black Ops person lives to fight yet another day to get Earth back. Brown and Kafer do it again! Don't miss the incredible journey!
