About this listen

The ultimate pilot has arrived. An unprecedented connection between man and machine.

Five years ago, aliens destroyed a carrier and its airwing at Jupiter without warning.

Since then, the Earth’s nations have learned to work together, and they want to know more about the aliens who appeared, attacked, and vanished without a trace.

The Americans have provided a new carrier and a slew of space fighters. Chinese engine and gravity technology has made going after the invaders possible. And the Russians have developed a new control system for the American fighters that will give the craft never-before-seen capabilities.

Most importantly, this blend of technology has allowed for pilots to connect directly to their ships, amplifying their reflexes and giving them the ultimate edge in combat.

Mankind’s next war is upon us, and Uplink Squadron is the tip of the spear.

It’s time to plug in and save the world.

Fun

Truly enjoyed the presentation. I look forward to the next audio book. I am also impressed with how reader’s ability to change voices.

Excellent space battles

I’ve seen the idea toyed with in other book series but this time it was done right, I was totally immersed right away and glued right to the end, and now I need more, so hurry up!

Awesome carrier/fighter sci-fi!

An instant classic for space born carrier fighter battles! A great new series and while I prefer an RC Bray or Jeffrey Kafer in this role as narrator, Mr Daniels does an admirable job.

PS - Luke Daniels is great but his voice is too associated to other books for me to get used to it

Ok book, but does not really get anywhere

You get to the end thinking, was all this filler?
And just when the book gets interesting, it ends.
Was decent with good character dev, but the story was missing.

Enter the danger zone!

Incredible story that brought me back to my days working with a Marine fighter squadron. The trash talking and competitiveness is spot on. The story line is fantastic! Nicely done!

total sci-fi

Full sci-fi action, pilots that can jack into there jet? count me in.
this book was so good, I loved it alot. J.N. Chaney deserves an award for best sci-fi book this year.

Luke Daniel's narration is very exceptional. Luke is very adept it what he does. his narration is so good, he can do different accents and different voices effortlessly. He really is praiseworthy. I can't wait for more Luke Daniel's.

J.N. Chaney write characters really well. All the characters in his story have a depth to them, and I would be lying if I said he writing skills aren't up to par. I mean just the premise of this book, jacking up into the fighter jet and feeling immersed in it. That's just so cool, and J.N. Chaney writes it well. You can tell he's really a expert when it comes to sci-fi books.
I like the mc, he's cool and it's so awesome listening to him in his jet. He has a depth that most characters don't. I don't really read sci-fi books often but i can tell you this is a good one.
There is so good character development in this story also, you could see the Mc change with what he was doing and what he was going to do, alot of sci-fi books can't get the character development part down. This one can.

The plot is good, I liked it. it could've been a little better but it's still good, my only problem with it is I feel it didn't have the depth I was looking for. It was an overall good storyline but I thought it could've been better.
The world building is like nothing I've experienced before. I don't really read sci-fi books but I can tell that this world building is unreal. The way the world is build and the detail that goes into it is just so awesome.
I loved the ending to this book, I think the start and the middle part were good, but the ending was superb and I found myself wanting more and more until it ended.

The action in this book is something I didn't even know I needed, this book is action packed and I loved listening to it. the action was detailed, and I just wish it was longer so I could listen to more. after this I'm going to have to get more books like this but I'm not sure any can compare.

There is alot of more stuff I can talk about in this review, but I think this is more than enough for you to know if you wanna get this book. I think it's worth the credit. I think after you listen you're gonna want book 2. The reason I know is because I want book 2, I can't wait for it to come out, and when it does best believe I'll be back.

overall fun ride.

I enjoyed the concept, the setting and the characters... this book to me had the depth and feel of a comic book. it was very much enjoyable and fun and yet not overly developed in it's concepts. I would have liked to hear and learn more of the detail to much of the concepts. hardly any description of the aliens or ships to be had. character development was also limited but acceptable again for the fun it delivered.

the narrator did overall a great job and I did enjoy his take on the different accents and characters of the book that in some ways felt like it was t trying to take itself too seriously.

there was good action to the book and while ones imagination can certainly fill in the blanks I don't think it was as developed as books like the expanse or the bobiverse series which do more to put you in the experience.

overall I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a space sci-fi action and I will continue on in the series.
