Publisher's summary

A lyrical audiobook from presidential inaugural poet Amanda Gorman

"I can hear change humming
In its loudest, proudest song.
I don't fear change coming,
And so I sing along."

In this stirring, much-anticipated audiobook by presidential inaugural poet and activist Amanda Gorman, anything is possible when our voices join together. As a young girl leads a cast of characters on a musical journey, they learn that they have the power to make changes - big or small - in the world, in their communities, and in most importantly, in themselves.

With lyrical text, Change Sings is a triumphant call to action for everyone to use their abilities to make a difference.

awesome

I love to hear Amanda Gorman recite her own poetry! we own the print book, which is great on its own, but to hear her reciting it just adds such a deeper emotional response.

Change for Children

Amanda Gorman is a shining light for the 11 and 12 year old students in our program at the Witherspoon Institute’s WINKids Book Ban-d Club. The GET LIT Reading and writing program is hosted at the Boston Public Library and the Orchard Gardens Boys and Girls Club in Boston, MA. It is a Post COVID learning Crisis Initiative to assist youth to get back on the learning track after 2-3 years of spotty at-home learning during the Pandemic.

The children love the rhythm of the poem and the colorful pictures and bright illustration of the book. They are currently memorizing the poem for performance. We are equally pleased that Miss Gorman attended school at Harvard University – just down the road. We can claim her as one of our local heroes. Thank you, Penguin Books, for a wonderfully produced children’s book! Bravo!
