Disappointed

Too preachy for my taste. If you're looking for a Bible study, this may be the book for you.

I loved it

Others seem to not have read the write up or skimmed through the book. But it is a great character building book along with the supporting fact that we are created by God and He wants us to be the greatest version of ourselves and examples of Him. Praising Him and stay focused on Him. I needed the character build but in the greatest version of myself. I was missing the spiritual best of myself. I loved reading the book and working on myself as a child of God.

too religious

this is less about character development and more about being a Christian. maybe I didnt read the description carefully enough.

Not What It Seems To Be

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book is all about Christian coaching. While I am Christian and hold nothing against the author for using God in all chapters--- I have clients who need more than just a "God v. Satan" sort of explanation. The title "Character Makeover" title should really read "The Christian Character Makeover" to be sure those who'd like something outside of religion, can find it (& not purchase something they're not expecting).

What do you think your next listen will be?

Another self-care / self-improvement book for the clients I have.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christine Williams?

Not sure.

What character would you cut from Character Makeover?

Not possible--- this is not a fictional book.

Any additional comments?

This is purely spiritual, a book that constantly refers back to the bible, talks about God. Satan, The Holy Spirit, and more. Some cannot comprehend what these concepts mean, therefore not having any impact on their lives with this book.
