About this listen

Out in the fringes of known space, there's one hope. He's got golden skin, horns, and eyes that say he wants only me.

I'm a greaser girl from Novaria. I know my way around an engine room. And I never got close to anyone. Much less a serious relationship. As for Swipt? The handsome alien pirate that rescued me says I'm his mate. Fated. Destined to be together. Kind of a big commitment.

But he's...different.

Swipt is strong. He challenges me. Excites me. Pisses me off. But maybe I need that kind of fire. Maybe it's what I've been missing.

Whoever kidnapped me isn't giving up. But with Swipt, I'm going to turn the tables. We're going to go after them. Find out the answers to this mystery. Or we'll die trying.

At least we'll do it together.

Contains mature themes.

Short and Sweet

I’m on book 3 and I’m enjoying the heat of each couple and the mystery tying all the stories together.
I’ve ne be listened to anything by narrators Noelle Bridges and Triston James but I think Noelle can narrate a book alone. She’s great at all the characters’ voices. Triston is getting a bit better as he does each book but I’m having a tough time listening to his parts.

Not bad

Storyline is moving along; this one had its sad moments. Relationships continue to blossom. Narrators did a good job with characters. Onto the next book!

Loved it

This crew and characters give Firefly vibes. They have the swagger and cheekiness that kept reminding me of my favorite tv show that ended too soon. The love story and spice was good. Would definitely recommend. Though I would recommend listening/reading in order. I didn’t do that and I kind of wish I had.

Cliffhanger endings

Story is ok, world building is good. The Cliffhanger ending is a dealbreaker for me.

Clunky and crude

This was the last of the free offerings in Audible Plus and it only served to convince me that this series is not for me. The little plot that exists is cliche, with eyerollingly bad dialogue and awkward voicing on
Mr. James’s end. What really fizzled all sizzle, however, was Swipt’s dirty talk: he talks like every frat boy on Earth, with F bombs and loving her “twat” and “p()ssylips.” Then Ilya joins in with the low class talk as she jumps his bones right after a major death. I should’ve expected that a series built upon aliens with two Ds would be all about the smut, but I was still surprised at the level of sleaze. If you find it sexy to listen to double Ds in double holes and taking both into her mouth at once, then by all means, press play.

Ya... I had to stop

Well I took it all the way to describing a vagina as "her mushy hole." I guess it is better than "folds" like all the other smut books I hear lately... Anyways.. If I would have turned it off when I 1st wanted to in this book I could have missed the sad death. The sex isn't really all that bad it really is the weak writing. They try to use and change our pop coulter to fit their book the worst being a James Bond/Remington Steele ref using different numbers and the actor's name rhyming with Sean Connary... Also what are 2 writers even doing if the book is only 5 hours?! 1 for science 1 for smut?

HOWEVER I love these both narrators! They bring everyone to life better than a lot of others out there. Actually I was looking up Noelle books and found this one... They can't all be winners I guess.. If you like her you need to check out the series Fireblood Dragons.
