Publisher's summary

With her murderous maker still on the run, Cherry has enough on her mind even before her newly turned boyfriend, Alex, demands they meet each other's parents. Constantine, her ex and now member of the vampire council, is suspiciously quick to allow this breach of vampire law. It soon becomes clear there's a lot Cherry doesn't know about her family's past.

And it's threatening her present and her future.

Alex is changing, Ádísa is dead but not as gone as she should be, and feelings forced aside are reconsidered. Back in her hometown, and faced with an overabundance of new information, Cherry is determined to fight for herself, her family, and her man.

That's when her world is turned upside down.

Again.

The fight in the woods!

Cherry of course!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Cherry tries to convince Alex not to drain her....and that she loves him...

This is an awesome series, and I hope there is more to come in the future! In this one Alex is a new made vampire and experiencing some really strange feelings and odd outbursts...its like he is under the influence of something really wrong! Alex wants to meet each others parents...and Cherry is not ok with this, but agrees...and finds out her parents have been waiting for her all along, come to find out the females in her family have been turned for centuries...and her moms sister is really her grandma! Well they are looking for Cherries maker so they can kill him, he is a really bad man...and is dangerous to them all....all things are getting dangerous..and Cherry may just end up dead..or alone....

LOVE IT!! PLEASE LET THERE BE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Cherry is back for more adventure ...

What made the experience of listening to Cherry Blossom the most enjoyable?

Ms. King is an excellent narrator and keeps you involved in the story. I found myself sitting in my driveway waiting until the end of the chapter before going inside. She is that good!

Which character – as performed by Wendy Tremont King – was your favorite?

I enjoyed Cherry the best. The way Ms. King was able to voice Cherry's internal dialogues were very entertaining.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Alex faced his new nature and knew what he had to do. When he set out on his new 'assignment' from the council, I could feel Cherry's uncertainty about it all.

Any additional comments?

As with the first book, I would recommend this story to those 18+ due to the graphic sexual content. (Its hot!)

The story gets better!

What did you love best about Cherry Blossom?

I loved the way the story and characters are growing and developing. The ending surprised me. I love a strong heroine who not afraid to break away from what's expected.

What other book might you compare Cherry Blossom to and why?

This series reminds me of one of my favorite series " Nigh Huntress" by Jeanine Frost, which any PNR fan will tell you is high praise!

What about Wendy Tremont King’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the narrators voice inflections and the way she gave each character a voice.

We SO Need Book 3

The continuing adventures of Cherry, Alex, Constantine and company!! Alex is dealing with ch-ch-ch-ch-changes and advancing his relationship with Cherry to the "meet the parents" phase. Cherry's family history is rather intriguing, and Alex' behavior appears to be more than just your average alpha male possessiveness. Scary drama, trust issues and family secrets. Roomies and road trips and surprises abound. No cliffhanger, but there was pertinent information delivered in the final paragraph that makes me wish Book 3 was already in my library!! Wendy Tremont King again does a great job. Totally credit-worthy!

listen to book 1 hoping book 2 would draw me in

I can't believe how many of the cherry books there are because they really don't go anywhere as far as story wise. There is no real big thrills in them. At least not the first two books. I hate leaving bad or so-so reviews but I believe in giving my honest opinion. This is very dry reading, some sexual situations in fact cherry I don't think likes clothes much, her now vampire cop boyfriend and her can be facing major trouble but a rump in the bed in cherry's ex lover's house is much more important. I'd pass if your looking for a good vampire adventure book.

Very enjoyable second book in the series

Would you listen to Cherry Blossom again? Why?

No, I don't tend to listen to audiobooks more than once.

What does Wendy Tremont King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings the characters of this world to life. It simply wouldn't be the same reading this book.

Cherry goes home

Would you listen to Cherry Blossom again? Why?

Yes I would. I love this talented author Sotia Lazu. I believe she is a great up and coming author. I hope she keeps going with this story line and keep the talented narrator Wendy Kind.

What did you like best about this story?

Cherry always, she is an amazingly well developed character brought to life by the author. In book 2 she gets to go home to see her mom again. This is something she never dreamed she would be able to do again. The only bad thing about that was I was the one freaking out. Thinking OMG no body kill this girls mom. Thankful that never happened. Cherry kinda brings out the emotions in you. You like her, she is funny, she is loyal to a great guy and she is a fighter. I just felt god this girl just needs a break in her new vampire life for once.

Which character – as performed by Wendy Tremont King – was your favorite?

Cherry again. The talented Wendy King is amazing for bringing to life a smart mouth ex porn star vampire. I hope she stays with the author throughout the series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but it is too long for one sitting.

Awesome new addition to the series!

This was an excellent book. It's an absolutely thrilling and cohesive continuation of Sotia Lazu's Cherry Vampire series. This sequel was as good as the first book in this series but it also has an entire new level of complexity and emotion between Cherry, Alex, and Constantine. I can't wait for the next installment to be released!

book 2 - Vampire Cherry

This is book 2 in Lazu's series Vampire Cherry. A great addition to this series where the plights continue for Cherry and her new beau Alex. Their relationship takes some hits as Alex tries to find his place in his new life as well as his relationship with Cherry. Is love enough to save them all or will jealousy be their doom? More paranormal mysteries are reveled which rather than causing relief seems to cause more problems...well written and well narrated. I can't wait to see what will be next in this dynamic duo..trio?!?

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
