Essentially they are practicing a couple of situations you could run into as foreigner (e.g. Expat) in China.
They repeat often enough so that eventually words and phrases start to stick in your brain.
If there is anything to criticize: you more often practice the male in a conversation, less frequently the role of the female.

This section was much better than the last. The last 5 units had horrible editing mistakes that made the learning very difficult. Overall I have been enjoying learning with Pimsleur. My main 2 complains with the course as a whole are they don't explain new words fully & clearly and the courses are way to short for the money they cost. if you are buying them with money vs credits I don't know if I can say it's worth the cost for 2 ½ hours of learning, much of which is review from.the previous lessons.
