About this listen

Christmas at Tiffany's is an exciting, globetrotting story of friendship and romance from Karen Swan.

Cassie settled down too young, marrying her first serious boyfriend. Now, 10 years later, she is betrayed and broken. With her marriage in tatters and no career or home of her own, she needs to work out where she belongs in the world and who she really is.

So begins a yearlong trial as Cassie leaves her sheltered life in rural Scotland to stay with each of her best friends in the most glamorous cities in the world: New York, Paris and London. Exchanging grouse moor and mousy hair for low-carb diets and high-end highlights, Cassie tries on each city for size as she attempts to track down the life she was supposed to have been leading, and with it the man who was supposed to love her all along.

Christmas at Tiffany's is followed by the captivating sequel, Summer at Tiffany's.

SLOW start...BUT A GOOD STORY!

I started this book with such excitement. I started to loose bit of steam towards the middle of the story, because the story just seem to go on and on. I was committed to finish this book. Honestly I'm glad I did. It turned to be a REALLY GOOD story.🙂🙂🙂

Fantastic journey

Friendships that endure flaws, love stories that are also adventures and plenty of self-growth and discovery. Well-written characters and an overall great story.

Such a great escape!

I am a mysteries/thriller type gal, but for the past couple of years, I have treated myself to a Karen Swan book around the holidays. Her books are like romantic getaways, with descriptions of people, places and food that take you right there! The descriptions are just the right length, not overly descriptive, which drives me nuts, but just so that you can "see or taste" what she is describing. The romance is sweet and sexy.
Looking forward to reading more!

Fun Diversion

I am not a fan of rom com lit, but I couldn’t stop listening. Although some of the romantic scenes made me roll my eyes and the protagonist leaps from island to continent to continent to island, and conquers everything and everyone in her path in less than a year, there are elements of pretty good writing here.

Intriguing and not predictable

Swan’s stories are not what you expect with lots of twists and turns of the plot. You will not want to turn it off!

Christmas at Tiffany's

Christmas at Tiffany's. I absolutely loved this book. It was so as if you were in these places where Cassie was. I did not want it to end.

Perfectly Indulgent!

Although it’s not exactly a holiday book like the title suggests, it’s a great story that I thoroughly loved!!! New York, Paris, London - each city with dreamy possibilities and the author did such a good job of allowing me to live vicariously through Cassie as she found pieces of herself in each city. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Just the story I was looking for

I stumbled across this book without looking but it turned out to be just what I was looking for. The narrator was perfect for the characters. Sometimes I think narrators are too old for the characters in the story and is off-putting. Not here.
I loved the premise and the locations where it took place. I knew that the cat and mouse chase would end where it did but I didn’t mind going along on the journey. It was glamorous and dramatic and romantic. I didn’t like the suicide but that would be my only complaint.
All in all a lovely little story.

I finished it

Engaging enough due to the wonderful narration and main character to stay tuned… but her “best friends” (minus Susie) are ass holes! And even the man she falls in love with in the end is a dud! Good story in terms of a female character finding herself and learning to say no… horrible romance story.

Unlistenable

I really wanted to like this book, but the narration made it unlistenable. The narrator's decision to use exaggerated voices for the characters - including an extremely annoying and LOUD voice for one of the American characters - was unfortunate. I tried several times to get through it, but couldn't make it past Chapter 4. Oh well!
