Publisher's summary

I can't believe it's come to this...

It was your classic case of opposites. I was the football star; he was the class clown that put itching powder in my jockstrap. I'm laid-back; he's in-your-face loud. I've told everyone for years that I hate him...but hate has an opposite, too.

His name is Tripp. He's a social media star. And he's so damn vibrant he makes my teeth ache. And I need to ask him for a favor.

My parents are coming to town. The same social climbing idiots who disowned me when I refused to go into something "prestigious", like medicine or law. The same parents who made my grandmother so upset when they called the other day that she bragged about my new celebrity boyfriend.

I don't have a boyfriend, celebrity or otherwise.

Now, my parents are coming back to town, intent on meeting my nonexistent partner. I just want to get through this visit, appease their pride, and watch them go away again.

If Tripp will play pretend for me, maybe we can make it through this visit without bloodshed. And if my inner wolf will settle down, maybe I won't have to wonder whether he's my fated mate or not.

Welcome to Blackwater, Montana - a small town with a big personality, where shifters and humans coexist. Claimed by My Pretend Boyfriend is a dual-point-of-view shifter audiobook with mentions of mpreg and a guaranteed happy ending. The sixth and final in this series, this audiobook can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

It Was Good

I enjoyed reading it, Tripp and Decker are my favorite couple of the series.
Listening to it was ok, this is my first listen to of this narrator, and he did an ok job, it just needed a little bit more.

Tripp and Decker

Claimed by My Pretend Boyfriend is book 6 in Blackwater Pack series. Tripp and Decker were exactly friends in school. Tripp was a prankster and Decker was his target. Now years later Decker needs a favor from Tripp, to pretend to be his boyfriend while his parents are in town. Little did Decker know it would spark something in them and with fates help give them their happy ending, together. This was an enjoyable book and narrator Aleks Esquire does a fabulous job, it just needed to be better edited.

What a fantabulous listen!

This listen is over 6 hours long, and when I hit epilogue, I was like really? This flows so we'll, I didn't realize I was that close to done! The author did a wonderful job with all the characters! This storyline with Tripp and Decker is sooo good! Decker's mom, however, can sit and spin!! Loved, loved, loved this listen!

Delightful, engaging & fun frenemies to lovers.

Delightful, engaging fun frenemies to lovers.  I really enjoyed the narration and this was a new to me narrator.  He did a good job on Decker and Tripp and brought them to life for me. Gave me a fun day of listening and enjoying this story. I found myself laughing out loud as Decker describes his first yoga experience or getting up at 5am to get to the mountaintop for a video shoot.  There were special moments and lots of great time with Decker's Nana, who is really special.

I really enjoy the fake boyfriend idea and this one was more fun than usual. They have known each other since school and they have picked and pranked each other but Derek never realized he was attracted to Tripp. i loved that they took their time and spent it getting to know each other.

Decker and Tripp are combustible and they are just so perfect together.  They bring out the very best in each other and their lives fit so well.. their worlds complement each other.

This is book six of the Blackwater Pack and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone story,

Loved the story, the narration was ok

I always enjoy Liam Kinglsey and loved the story! I love the "Claimed" Blackwater pack, the story of Decker and Tripp. Decker and Tripp had known each other since high school and did not get along. Decker needs a famous celebrity boyfriend for when his parents come to town. Tripp agrees. I loved Tripp's great attitude!! This was a great story line, But I struggled with the narration. I had read the book and the vocals just didn't work for me.

Spoiled by the narrator!

I'm a Liam Kingsley fan, but Aleks Esquire did an outstanding job of spoiling this book for me. The story is full of fun and friendship and love and sexy time, but it is haltingly presented. Esquire has potential to become a good narrator, but this effort is not good. His use of voices for different characters is on point, but he seems too eager to make the text sound lively. Instead, he puts emphasis on illogical words to such a degree that he makes some sentences sound like utter nonsense. His delivery improves slightly at the end of the book, which makes me suspect he is simply not a very practiced narrator.

Opposites attract! Loved this story!

Tripp the class clown and major prankster when in school, loved to prank his classmates but mostly Decker. Growing up poor he knew his crush on Decker would never go anywhere but he still loved making Decker mad by embarrassing him, or makeing him laugh or anything really just as long as he had his attention! Now years later he’s finally going to get a chance to at least be Deckers pretend boyfriend and that’s absolutely ok with him!
Decker’s uppity hateful parents are coming for a visit and his grandmother gives him a heads up that they think he’s dating a celebrity and finally getting serious with someone. Decker takes his grandma’s advice and goes to see Tripp. It didn’t take long before they realized the chemistry apparently had always been there simmering for them both! Tripp and Decker’s steamy hot story is the sweetest, funniest, absolute perfect storm that I really enjoyed! I’m not going to spoil it by revealing any of the delicious details but you seriously don’t want to miss this audiobook! Claimed By My Pretend Boyfriend is book 6 in the Blackwater Pack series but can be read as a standalone. I didn’t have any trouble at all with the story. However I’m planning on listening to the other stories ASAP! I thought narrator Aleks Esquire did a really good job with this audiobook and bringing the characters to life in Liam Kingsley’s awesome story!

A decent fake-boyfriends-to-mates story

I haven't read or listened to the other books in this series, but I was still able to enjoy this story as a standalone. Tripp and Decker weren't my favorite characters ever, but I didn't hate them. I didn't like the choice this narrator made for Tripp's voice, and I do think that's part of the reason I didn't warm up to him as the story went on. Decker was alright, but I thought he was a bit of a pushover for going along with the fake boyfriend charade as soon as his Nona suggested it. That entire aspect of the story felt a little weird to me, if I'm being completely honest. I've read other stories with the fake boyfriend trope and enjoyed them, but there was just something off here and I can't put my finger on what it is. That being said, the energy and banter between the main characters was entertaining. Tripp and Decker are the kind of couple that doesn't take themselves too seriously, always telling stories and joking with each other, and I really appreciate that. Once they were together as a real couple and the fated mates bond kicked in, the story pushed a little too far into lovey-dovey territory for me. There was a bit of stereotypical "omega is good with kids and wants a baby", and the thing about yoga techniques allowing a natural birth seemed far-fetched, but nothing I had a huge issue with. This story doesn't stray too far from the typical alpha/omega romance, and there was nothing particularly shocking or unexpected here, but it was still a solid story with good entertainment value.
