About this listen

Tuesday Knowls is done. Once burned, twice shy. Twice burned? Game over. On the outside Tuesday has it all. She comes from money, she’s a beautiful runway model, her smile comes easy, and she’s quick to laugh. But looks can be deceiving. Inside, she’s lost and lonely. So when the smokin’ hot firefighter swoops in with his sweet talk and promises, she decides to be the one who uses, for once.

Jackson Clark is a man who knows what he wants. And he wants Tuesday. He sees past the beautiful façade she shows the world straight to the pain she hides. When Tuesday offers him a friends-with-benefits arrangement—minus the friendship—he has no choice but to accept her offer. He’s willing to do anything to get close to the elusive woman and show her he’s worth the risk.

When Tuesday starts getting presents from a secret admirer, she goes into a tailspin. She’s been down this ugly road before and she knows how it can destroy her life.

Can she really trust that Jackson is the good guy in this mess? And, if he is, will she realize in time that not only will he protect her heart, but he might just save her life?

Voice of Tuesday is a bit over the top when she voices Jackson, lighten up a little on gruff.

Another terrific audio in the Next Generation series! Humor was abundant but of course high in emotion too. The audio sucked me right in, and because my circumstances allowed I essentially finished it in one swoop while working around the house. Laughs, danger, mystery, action and suspense perfectly woven together in a great HEA fir Jackson and Tuesday. Jackson...swoon....such loyalty and devotion. And Tuesday is one tough cookie too. I love how Riley weaved not only the parents into the story, but also the siblings and cousins from previous stories are seaminglessly woven in. And thumbs up on the narration.

This series is great! Tuesday is a beautiful woman who has been hurt, betrayed, and stalked. She has built a walk around herself to protect her heart. In comes firefighter Jackson who is determined to break down the walls around her heart and keep her safe.

Love at first sight

Ok i loved reading this story (multiple times btw) but listening to this series over the past week, the voice actor of all of the fmcs has gotten hard to listen to after awhile. Esp when she whispers. I get for Meadow it worked-she was deeply broken. But after ten hours of her whisper speaking it is annoying to me. Tuesday is NOT a whisper speaking type of gal. (Neither was Mercy) She is a BROAD. A woman. Big personality. Big. So the voice actor got it for a little bit early on but then she would whisper speak and THEN the rest of the story, she used that whimpy whispery voice instead of her strong voice. while I get she was emoting as Tuesday was scared etc but it didn’t work for me. Maybe bc I was tired of the whimpy whisper speak. Sigh. Ugh. And I have so many more books I bought w this same lady speaking the female voices. Bummed bc I struggled to get thru this book.
Either way-both voice actors are incredibly talented. It’s just a “me” problem. Not a talent issue.
Story is amazing and while Tuesday isnt a likable character, fallingnin love w Jackson makes her soften and become a better person. If that makes sense? She isn’t a bad person, just hard and bitchy thanks to her upbringing.

Love this story so much!

The story line

I love these books but I cannot stand the way the female narrator whispers 90% of her dialogue. Cannot stand it. It is infuriating and I have to talk myself down from turning off the story every time I listen to these books. Oh my god. I hate it so so much!!!

HATE the female narrator voice!
