About this listen

This novella is part of the Extreme Measures series and comes after Life Flight.

Flight Nurse Practitioner, Holly Cooper, has an enemy who wants her gone from the hospital one way or another. She and her fiancé, Detective Andy McKittrick are “taking a break”, and a patient has died under mysterious circumstances. Life is complicated at the moment so when she’s attacked, her friends—and “on hold” fiancé come to the rescue. Andy may have his issues, but he’s never stopped loving Holly. When he hears someone is out to get her, he races to her side. Can they find a killer before the killer succeeds in sending Holly six feet under?

The narrator was horrible

It was really hard to listen to. Sounded very robotic. The story was good but would have been better had a real person narrated the story. I deleted the next one in series. I don’t think I can handle that annoying voice.

Great story but virtual voice remains horrible.

As always Lynette’s stories are exceptional. I thought since this was a novella and the narration was only two hours I could handle it. I was wrong. Finally at the half way point I switched to reading the rest.

Narration Sucked

I love Lynette Eason and would hate to quit listening to her books but I will if the AI narration continues. It was stilted and incorrect.

The performance not enjoyable

Virtual voice unpleasant and disappointing. In the past I have really enjoyed her audio books.

Great story, narrator almost ruined it

The virtual voice was not pleasant to hear. Inflections were off, voices didn’t always match characters

Terrible Narration!

Virtual voice was horrible. It actually read”me” instead of M.E. Don’t ever do that again. I think the story was good but I couldn’t really decide since it was so hard to get into it. Absolutely no way to make a connection with the characters.

Book is good, but the narration is not.

The problem here is the virtual voice narration. It’s not in sync with the emotions of the book . For example a sarcastic “it’s been exciting” is read in a fun upbeat way… totally unlike the negative connotation of the events that have happened. The narration does not exhibit the suspense and drama of Lynette Eason’s books. ME for medical examiner is read as the word “me”. Sometimes the transition from characters in the book is not immediately clear. I almost didn’t even continue the book because of narration and had to make myself persevere. I have listened to other books with virtual voice and enjoyed them, but not the virtual voice on this one.

TERRIBLE NARRATOR

Absolutely awful. I've listened to quite a few of lynette easons books and this one is Absolutely awful. I don't have time to actually read with small kids. All her books are good but this one is narrated terribly...... very disappointing.
