About this listen

I’m an alibi for a killer, but he demands so much more than my testimony.

I stumbled across something I wasn’t supposed to discover. I saw something I wasn’t meant to see, and now I’m an alibi for a killer.

He’s the most feared and powerful man in the New York underworld. I don’t have a choice but to do as he says.

But he commands so much more than just my testimony.

Performer's voices

I liked there was a deep male voice for Saverio and a lighter female voice for Anya. It definitely made the story pop.

✨ THE HOURS FLEW BY ✨

I really enjoyed the duet-style narration by Michelle and Gideon who expertly brought to life the emotional cat n mouse rollercoaster.. the chemistry, fireworks and heat.. the heart and passion.. the volatility and suspense.. the mountains and moves.. and everything else Charmaine packed into this well written book. However, I will say (for me) the sex was hot but throughout the trilogy there was too much of it - so I skimmed over quite a few of their scenes. There were some good secondary characters. Initially I did want a wee bit more Mafia drama in books 1 and 2 but, on reflection, there was enough to keep me invested and the third book had much more drama, action, suspense etc. even if Anya’s rise to the top was a little unbelievable.. it’s all delicious friction and fiction folks!!

Saverio (Sav) was seen when he murdered at night and the pregnant, beautiful, tempting witness to the murder is going to be his alibi.. but she’s going to bring out a side of him he’s never ever seen. Jealous, protective, possessive, sexually kInky and willing to die for the woman he’s blackmailed into a relationship with - a woman he says he can’t ever love. Anya was in the wrong place at the wrong time and has to go through many challenges with the dangerous, handsome, alpha Sav - but she’s got no choice. However, she can see his softer caring side.. and all too soon she’s hopelessly fallen for the Mafia killer who will never love her. Forced into a marriage.. forced into an intimidating world of Mafia villains.. forced to stay where she’s in danger every day.. and forced to stand and fight when their defences are severely weakened. Character development is the only way these two are going to live, heal and to love.

Worth a credit? Well we’re taking three for the whole trilogy and yes I don’t regret spending my credits on each book as they’re very very entertaining, held my attention and the narration of the trilogy was great.
