Great evening read

The second book goes back in time to describe the meeting of Catheryn ( mother of Avis) with her husband, Selwyn. This is a shorter story but it sets up the relationship between Catheryn and her family as well as with her husband. This prepares for the last story of what happened to Catheryn after the invasion. This touches on the emotions of the people involved. Catheryn needed to be strong given her experiences during her life.
I would say that the narrator was just a little too precise at times for me. When Katy Bunn was using different voices it followed more easily. These are very good stories for describing the life for the people, both noble and peasant, during this period of history.
I was given a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. This is my honest review.

Her trials and those of her mother will pull your heartstrings.
It would have been better if the narrator was better at reading the story. I did not care for the way she reads.
A good story
