Publisher's summary

World War III took my family - would the destruction claim my heart?

Mom's bleeding in my arms. She could die any moment, but not before she's made me promise three things: Pray. Don't trust anyone. Stay alive. I promise, but I don't know if I can keep them. Not surviving World War III doesn't scare me, it's surviving it that does.

And without the excitement of seeing Bodey every day, did I even want to try?

If you're looking for a great dystopian romance, this book is for you!

Basic Armageddon

Someone released a disease upon the earth that eliminated a very large part of the population. Following that, bombs are dropped on the United States taking out more of the population. Other countries are also attacked taking out more of the world's population. The remnants of U S citizens are the aggressive supressors or the nonaggressive people just trying to survive. Loved the main characters persistence on survival. Not at all costs, but close to it. They maintain their humanity.

Poor Sound Quality

While very short, the story is a good one. It's very fast paced with lots of action and enjoyable characters. The sound quality and narration are a bit subpar but I got used to it. I will continue the series.

Cost of Survival

A young adult story about trying to survive after World War III. When the world goes crazy Kelly and her mom have to find a way to survive. Kelly’s mom has been preparing for this and she and Kelly are ready to begin their travels. Along the way they face different horrors but it does not prepare them for the horrors that await them.

This was a hard story for me to get lost in. Kelly is a naïve and self-centered young woman. Her mother is portrayed as a very tough religious woman who has been preparing for this for years yet when she needs to rely on her smarts, she makes all the wrong decisions. Kelly has to grow up quick and learn to survive but every time there is another person in her vicinity, she relies on them to make all the decisions and to keep her safe. This is the beginning of Kelly’s new life and it will be interesting to see what will happen next. Narrator Sarah Taylor speaks clearly and moves this story along.
