About this listen

Scout Randall’s life has taken more turns than she was ready for, and it’s a new dawn in Hawthorne Hollow.

Her parents have arrived on the scene, and it turns out that they’ve been hiding in the shadows for years waiting for her.

The prophecy that foretold her winning what should be an unwinnable war has enemies crawling out of the woodwork.

And, worst of all, she’s grappling with the realization that one of her own has betrayed her.

It’s too much for Scout to deal with, which means that the snowmen popping up around town and acting like sentries are barely a blip. When Bigfoot joins the fray, however, Scout realizes trouble is afoot.

All Scout wants is a few weeks to catch her breath. That’s not in the cards. Her life is starting to spiral, and now that she knows who the enemy is, the only thing she’s certain of is that she doesn’t have the strength to fight him.

Hawthorne Hollow is a magical nexus, and all the players are lining up. The ultimate fight isn’t far away, so when new faces appear, it’s easy to question if they’re friend or foe.

Who will come out victorious?

great book

This was a very good book. By the next one, all should be gathered for the final battle.

inconsistancys

how does long lost sister go to a cousin then back to sister.
why her aunt who she was left with by her parents put her in the system but couldn't protect her and act like it wasn't her fault.
why is she whining about not having parents and then gets them back and whining about getting them back. and nothing about her sister who called her parents auntie in one book but is daughter in another. Evan goes from east coast sounding guy to whimpy to college boy snark
the broad amount of crazy is crazy but i can relate to the parental issues

Not the best

This book was just okay. 80% was scout whining and I seriously had to push through. The last hour was the best and redeemed the book.

mostly great

i have to agree with someone else who addressed the inconsistencies in this book. how emma went from being scout’s sister up to the last book, where they were suddenly cousins, to This book where they’re back to being sisters, is seriously beyond me. how the author and editors thought we wouldn’t notice that is just bizarre …
there was definitely a Lot of whining on scout’s part about her parents. i get that she had to rely on herself most of her life, but her parents and family are back now, and it seems they aren’t going away. they didn’t want to let her go in the first place, and she Knows that. she’s just being petulant, but i guess she knows that, too. there just could have been a lot More …

The Best in the Series

This one was very exciting- the big battle plot advances but so do the personal lives of many of the characters. Very satisfying. Loved it.

Another great addition

Amanda M. Lee has crafted another great addition to her Spell’s Angels Cozy Mystery series. It’s full of all the characters we’ve grown to known and a great mystery to boot.
Meghan Kelly, as always, gave a stellar performance as she breathed life into the storyline and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I look forward to the next in this wonderful series and highly recommended this book/audiobook to paranormal mystery fans.

Another Great Series

I can’t wait for the next book! The big fight should be great. I can see all of them coming together to fight. Scout, Poet, Chloe, Hadley, Stormy, Charlie. Luna, and the Grimlock clan all together for a awesome fight! That would be something to see.

Inconsistant

I’m really hooked on this series, but how did some things get missed in editing? Is it her sister or cousin? Sadly aunt Tillie just annoys me now. Can’t wait for the final battle!
