About this listen

The era of hope and change is dead...and it only took six months in office to kill it. Never has an administration taken office with more inflated expectations of turning Washington around. Never have a media-anointed American Idol and his entourage fallen so fast and hard.

In her latest investigative tour de force, New York Times best-selling author Michelle Malkin delivers a powerful, damning, and comprehensive indictment of the culture of corruption that surrounds Team Obama's brazen tax evaders, Wall Street cronies, petty crooks, slum lords, and business-as-usual influence peddlers. In Culture of Corruption, Malkin reveals:

  • Why nepotism beneficiaries First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are Team Obama's biggest liberal hypocrites: bashing the corporate world and influence-peddling industries from which they and their relatives have benefited mightily
  • What secrets the ethics-deficient members of Obama's cabinet - including Hillary Clinton - are trying to hide
  • Why the Obama White House has more power-hungry, unaccountable "czars" than any other administration
  • How Team Obama's first 100 days of appointments became a litany of embarrassments as would-be appointee after would-be appointee was exposed as a tax cheat or had to withdraw for other reasons
  • How Obama's old ACORN and union cronies have squandered millions of taxpayer dollars and dues money to enrich themselves and expand their power
  • How Obama's Wall Street money men and corporate lobbyists are ruining the economy and helping their friends

In Culture of Corruption, Michelle Malkin lays bare the Obama administration's seamy underside that the liberal media would rather keep hidden.

    Michelle is worthy.......

Would you listen to Culture of Corruption again? Why?

most in depth investigative work I've seen in a long while! Reveals the dirt that our politicians lower themselves too as they

    Thorough research

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

Yes. Detailed facts. It's hard to remember all the facts unless repeated.

Good book... tough to listen to narrator

Actually it's pretty depressing to listen to non-stop well researched details on politician corruption. While this identifies the Obama sphere, you can't help to think if this is just "politician" in any form being the culprit. Out only to line their pockets. Our constitutional fore-fathers are rolling in their graves, I'm sure.
Problem with this audio book is the narrator. His diction is so "un-crisp" as to make it a strain to listen to and understand all his words. Really surprising they didn't get a better audio presenter.

    Sad but True? Certainly dry...

I really wanted the Obama administration to be different than the play to pay politics so common in D.C. If the information in this book is true, there is not 'Change' at all. I wish the author provided more substantiation with her assertions. The book listens as a long diatribe of who's who did or didn't do what in the current Obama administration.

    Should Be Required Reading

Malkin explains in considerable detail why the disaster that is unfolding in D.C. is happening. The failure of the mainstream press to bring out this information during the 2008 campaign represents the abject failure of the so-called "Fourth Branch of Government."

Unbelievable corruption at the highest levels

Would you listen to Culture of Corruption again? Why?

Yes I'd listen to it again. So many examples of crime and corruption fade over time, which I am sure that Obama and cronies are counting on.

What other book might you compare Culture of Corruption to and why?

I've read none quite this informative before.

What does Johnny Heller bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A higher sense of urgency to clean house in D.C.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, there were just too many unbelievable examples of wrong doing to digest all at once.

    Any additional comments?

Please America, wake up and remove this crowd in Washington before they finish destroying our great country!

Narration makes or breaks an audiobook!!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. The narration will wipe away many IQ points from any listener. Only if you are a genius who can spare the IQ change would I recommend this audiobook.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Barak Obama--only I wish that he were a work of fiction. Unfortunately, he is real. Fortunately, people like Mrs. Malkin write books that help to expose the blunders of leftists. Also unfortunate, however, is that I bet Mrs. Malkin has never listened to this book. The narrator should be regulated out of this business---oh, sorry, I was channeling a leftist who always wants to look to regulations to solve problems.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Johnny Heller?

Helen Keller, perhaps? Almost anyone else. The narration was very much distracting.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes. Unless it was narrated by Johnny Heller--probably nice gentleman but this was not his best work, I believe.

    Any additional comments?

If this were someone's first audiobook, it would turn that person away from the whole world of audiobooks. Think twice before listening to this one; it might be better to get through the book the old-fashioned way: reading!

If only some of it's true, it's frightening!

If you could sum up Culture of Corruption in three words, what would they be?

    Well researched.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Jonah Goldberg

Have you listened to any of Johnny Heller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He does well in all his readings.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    All moments are riveting.

    Any additional comments?

Not a soft listen. But intellectually challenging....to understand the political system.

    Reading

Content was great, but the reader was not pleasant to listen to. She is a smart lady and I love the extent to which the book was researched.
