True Crime Treasure Trove

I have read several of Jamie Malton’s books but this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to read this series. I must say, I was not disappointed! There are ten books in this set and each book contains at least twelve true crime stories, along with a bonus story from her other books. Each book is arranged by theme, such as contract killers and family annihilators. Some of the cases are familiar, but most of the stories are based on lesser-known cases. Malton’s style is concise and to the point, which makes these books an interesting read. If you are a true-crime reader, I highly suggest delving into this series.

Road trip entertainment

I have read most of these books featured in this giant audiobook collection. To have them all in one set to listen to is great. If you are a true crime fan or like listening to podcasts, this collection of stories is just what you needed.

It features all kinds of stories of families, neighbors, dating, and other stories. This set would be great to listen to during a long road trip. You don't have to listen to all of the books in order. You can listen to the books in any order that you want.

You will be captivated by the stories featured in this collection. Even if you read the books like I did, you will want to pick up this audiobook collection to listen to them all over again.

Great Collection

If you are new to Jamie Malton, this set is an excellent place to start. Each book has a theme of similar cases. I really like this format. I like comparing the different killers’ methods and eccentricities. Though they choose the same formats, no two murders are exactly the same.

I appreciate how Jamie Malton gives attention to the victims’ families. While some cases are extremely graphic (Murder Most Sadistic), they are never presented in a way that enhances details for shock value. She also does a good job showing the illness of the killers.

I have read/listened to all of Jamie Malton’s books and this set is my favorite. Killer Case Files is excellent as well, but I really enjoy the themed nature of this series. I hope she continues. No matter how they are presented, she is an automatic buy on release day author for me. Easy 5 stars for this set.

Very intriguing

I am not a huge fan of the narrator, but I still like hearing the stories. I love these true crime books and could listen 24/7 if given the time. Looking forward to new stuff!!

I Love The Way It’s Organized

There are a huge number of stories in this bundle and I like the way they are presented with some common themes, like murderers who always had some ritual, people who killed their whole family, or paid somebody else to kill a spouse or whoever. These are great stories that I listen to on my commute. Thank you Jamie and Aiden.

Your true crime fix awaits!

I never feel comfortable saying that I enjoyed/liked a true crime book. But, if you are fan of this genre, I recommend any of the stories written by this author. This is a well-written and engaging look into a large number of killers motivated by insanity, greed, ritualistic murders, infidelity and more.

This collection includes some fairly infamous killers (BTK, Robert Hansen, Ted Bundy, Jeff MacDonald and more) and many that were previously unknown to me. Each chapter is about a 20 minute listen on audio and gives a short but detailed look at the crimes of each person. The narrator does a good job (aside from a few mispronounced words) and is a good fit for the "just the facts" tone of the book.

If you are a true crime fan and need a quick fix every so often, this is the perfect book for that. It is easy to read/listen to a chapter and then set it aside until another time. I find that this type of book is a good way to get an introduction into a specific killer/crime and then you can pursue more detailed books about their crimes if you so desire.

Excellent True Stores

I never knew there were so many deranged people in the world. I was really moved by the stories being told yet shocked by the nature of the killings. The author has definitely done his homework when it came to the selections of his topics. The narrator has become one of my favorites because he speaks so clearly and professional. I will continue to add this author to my serial killers selections. Absolutely a great book.

Author has very left leaning views that has nothing to do with stories

Author is quick to blame race if it’s white on black but clear to say it wasn’t race if it was black on white several times. The famous hawks boat murder killer was said to be trans. But in fact he didn’t claim trans until after in prison which is well documented. Clearly has a left leaning bias that has nothing to do with the stories.

Who chose this narrator?

Love the stories but very hard to listen to because of the narrator. Completely ruined it - he has no business reading as his voice is completely annoying.
