Publisher's summary

Uncover the shocking and brutal truths behind some of the most heinous crimes committed against innocent victims in Killer Case Files, the true crime anthology that takes you on a gripping journey into the minds of depraved murderers.

An anthology of 100 stories, Killer Case Files delivers riveting accounts of deviant and horrifying murders. These killers can range from seemingly normal people to psychopaths and serial killers who commit years of murder and mayhem.

Every volume delves into the forensic science and detective work used to identify and apprehend these violent predators.

This boxed set of Killer Case Files includes:

  • Disappearance in Sunrise City: When an 11-year-old girl goes missing and is found dead days later, it’s odd how quickly the case goes cold, and then stays cold for decades. Where was the murderer all those years, and what was he doing every day? Maybe he was a first responder who was supposed to help find missing children?
  • Friendly Betrayal: A sinister presence lurking online as several different people finds a way to tempt a young woman in Alaska into enlisting help to commit the cold blooded murder of her innocent and unsuspecting best friend.
  • An additional 98 more shocking, true crime murder stories from Jamie Malton's Best True Crime series.

If you enjoy the books from top authors like Jack Rosewood, Robert Keller, and Jason Neal–you’ll love Jamie Malton’s Best True Crime series.

A word of warning: The explicit details of these murders come directly from eyewitness accounts, interviews, police reports, court transcripts, crime scenes, and autopsy reports. They contain disturbing facts that may not be suitable for all listeners.

Well chosen mix of stories.

I love this series. The stories are well told, the narrator has a good voice for crime tales, and I haven’t heard most of them before. This 5 volume set is a great value. I want more.

Great listen!

Succinct yet importantly detailed overview of many cases; some you’ve heard of and many lesser known crimes. It keeps you interested throughout. You don’t want to turn it off even while learning about humanity’s worst offenders and the innocent people they harm.

Great book; lots of details about the crimes committed.

Didn't care for the narrator voice, no deflection and very flat. I would recommend this book regardless as his voice grows on you.

Well researched stories

I truly like the stories, besides being well researched I find that the author represents the voice of the victims very well and in a compassionate way. As having had a story like this ( murder) in my family, I was dismayed when later the victim was portrayed like the bad guy, which he was NOT and the murderer like a victim.
That said I really recommend the audio books, which I have and also the books . With the narrator I had a little difficulty and I had to get used to, but I gladly give a 5 star rating.

Great box set!

I first discovered Jamie Malton through a newsletter recommendation by author Jason Neal. Her style/format is very similar and one that I like a lot. Jamie does a great job providing details, including some horrific ones, in a way that still respects the victims. No gross stuff just for shock value.

This set includes the first 5 books in the Killer Case Files series. There are a wide variety of cases covered. Not all had resolutions. The unsolved cases were interesting, but those are my least favorite. Who doesn’t want to breathe a sigh of relief that a case closed and justice was served? Then again, some that do get closed still don’t have justice for the victim or their family members. Those are the saddest of all probably.

In one particular case, it seemed the killer’s parents tried to do everything right, but the system failed to do their part to help. In that case, I felt bad for both the victim and the perpetrator’s family. One case that hit me hardest was that of a sort of revenge killing. There is ultimately no excuse for cold blooded murder, but sometimes it does feel justified.

The narrator of the series is just ok. I didn’t think I was going to like him at first, but once I tweaked with the reading speed, I was able to just focus on the story and not the voice. Just how I prefer my audiobooks.

If you enjoy the true crime genre, this is a great set of books by a very good author who researches the cases well. I highly recommend it or any of her other books. I look forward to reading a lot more.

A Lot to Look Over

The narrator mispronounces simple names and words and you can quite clearly hear his swallowing in some instances. It’s like it’s his first time doing this. Maybe it is. He sounds like a bad automated voice. The writer has a clear bias as he mentions in one story repeatedly about a Christian friend of the murderer and their conversations about conversion which had nothing to do with the acts committed by the paranoid schizophrenic murderer then later explains how the church of Satan and its founder is misunderstood. It’s a book about murderers. How about leaving all of this out unless it is integral go understanding motive. In most instances in this anthology it was not. It is a crime anthology. State the facts as determined by the case. Easy peasy. No opinions, biases, or color commentary required or desired. There are better crime writers. There are better narrators. Is this a self published book? I’m with another reviewer-I wish I could get my credit back.

Narrator is almost impossible to listen to

Lots of crime stories but not very detailed- many told much better in other books. Like others - wish I could get my credit back
