Publisher's summary

Wrath leads Green Squad, a team of cybernetic soldiers capable of autonomous missions. Cut off from their central command by a communications glitch, Wrath believes his team has been left in the desert to perish. When a group of humans shows up a year later, he's ready to kill.

Reporter Rachel Halliday is terrified of cyborgs, but her first assignment at her new job is to cover the retrieval of Green Squad. Though scientists warn the media to keep their distance from the cyborgs, she disobeys and gets captured. Taken to the squad leader, she's shocked to see that Wrath looks just like Robert, the man she once loved - and had given up for dead.

Convinced that Rachel is a spy sent to betray him, Wrath doesn't trust her, but he can't deny his strange compulsion to protect and possess her. With a military team approaching to take over the retrieval - and memory flashbacks shorting out his system - Wrath is on the verge of remembering everything, only to lose it all over again. Can Rachel help him recover the man he was before it's too late?

Cyborg Seduction is book three in the Burning Metal series and a stand-alone, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

Includes a bonus excerpt: Taken, chapter 1.

Reunion

This 3rd book in the Burning Metal series explores what happens when a cyborg is in a situation where someone from his human past crosses his path. This is is my favorite so far in this well-written series with lots of heat but also plenty of story and depth. I love it!

Michael Pauley does such a great job voicing all the characters, especially the cyborgs. He gives them a subtle, "not quite human" feel without sounding robotic. I hope he continues to narrate the entire series.

intense

there are plenty of intense moments as a squad of cyborgs that thinks its been abandoned tries to figure out what's going on. there is some violence and adult content. story line is really good and if you read the first book you will know immediately what's wrong with some of the cyborgs. however, you don't have to read the first book, this one is fine as a standalone as well. you will just have to wait to see what is happening to the men :)

Can a cyborg organization love?

Can cyborgs have humanity. What I like about these stories is that even if science tries to repress a human by controlling them with a computer, the human side has a will that pushes through. So can a hot cyborg fall in love with a human woman? Yes. I received a free audio with no obligation.

Hot Cyborgs

this is book 3 in the c'yborg series. Another great story in this series. It is about a squad of Cyborgs that went on mission in the desert. Once completed, they had malfunctions and were cut off from Cyborg Sector. He and his team feel they have been abandoned. They live a year on their on. They change their names. Then a group of scientist and a report, Rachel on her first assignment with her new job. They are looking for green squad, the missing cyborgs. However, the cyborgs no longer trust humans. They set traps to keep enemies away and the two vans are blown up and killed all except Rachel and Clayton. They are taken captive by the cyborgs who wish to interrogate them and kill them. Rachel feels she has met Wrath, the leader in another time. He looks like her old boyfriend who was killed in the war. Both are attracted to each. Will Wrath overcome his distrust of humans? The narrator was great. Really brought out the characters. I received this audiobook as a gift for an honest review. I recommend this series.

Another Hit In The Burning Metal Series!

I have to agree with another Audible member about these stories getting better and better as the series progresses. Lace does a great job creating unique plots, interesting characters, and I like each book is a stand alone and can easily be listened to in any order. I believe Cyborg Seduction is some of Lace's best writing, this story had a great pace, flowed naturally from one scene to the next, and the dialogue and plot really brought me into the story.

Michael Pauley is a great narrator. I've listened to him narrate several different series and always enjoy his performance.

Love This Series!

It’s official, I’m in love with the Burning Metal series! The stories are just a little bit darker than the Terra Mate series, and that suits me just fine.

What rotten luck, news reporter Rachel Halliday’s first assignment is to follow scientist as they attempt to bring in a rogue squad of cyborgs in serious need of a software update, anxious to get the scoop Rachel blatantly disregards orders to stay far away from the cyborgs and next thing you know she’s face-to-face with their leader Wrath, who has a serious chip in, umm, err on his shoulder, believing that Central Command left him and his cohorts for dead in the desert several years ago.

Funny thing about Wrath, though, he looks just like Rachel’s first and only true love, high school sweetheart Robert, and once she’s convinced that it truly is Robert, Rachel’s on a new mission to help Wrath regain his memory and humanity. But for Wrath trust is dead and if Rachel’s not careful, she may be too!

This story has, action, suspense and if you know anything about Lisa Lace, smoking hot sex scenes and an HEA.

Michael Pauley narrates and he does a wonderful job on this audiobook. He nails the emotions of the characters, he has been the reader for all of the books in the series and his comfort and familiarity as a narrator with the series is evident. The audio production quality is perfect.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed listening to CYBORG SEDUCTION by Lisa Lace. It's first book I've read in her Burning Metal series but the third in the series. I have to say I was very impressed with the world building and character portrayal. It definitely made me want to go back and read the first two books in this series.

This story starts off as a group of scientists and reporters are heading into the desert to recover the "Green Squad", a team of cyborg soldiers that have been out of contact due to their internal communication systems malfunctioning leaving no way to locate their precise location. They had survived for over a year under harsh conditions due to the leadership of Wrath, a name he gave himself based on his need to take revenge upon authorities that had left he and his team out in the desert for so long.

Rachel is one of the few reporters that was brought along to cover the breaking news of finally locating this lost team of cyborgs. When she comes face to face with Wrath, the cyborg leader, she can't help but notice how much he resembles her first love. Robert had joined the military and not long after she had been told he'd been killed in battle. Could Wrath actually be Robert? Wrath has no memory of ever being a human. No memory of Rachel. But her very survival may depend upon her convincing him they were once in love and that she is not a conniving human sent to distract and confuse him through seduction so that the Green team can be captured and destroyed.

Cyborg Seduction is well-developed and steadily paced to keep your interest. The narrator portrayed the various characters and their emotions well. It's a great read I highly recommend to anyone who loves SciFi and futuristic novels. 4 stars
