About this listen

Enjoy this dark motorcycle club romance from USA Today Bestselling MC romance author Jessica Ames...

Daimon

As Treasurer of the Untamed Sons MC, I don't have time to deal with a bratty kid. Briella is nineteen. I'm thirty-one. I'm too old for her tantrums, but I'm sure there's something more to her acting out than a late teenage rebellion. When I look in her eyes, I see her demons glaring back at me, and I want to know who put them there. I shouldn't be thinking about her at all, but I'm willing to stand against my club brothers and break vows I've made to keep her, but first I have to uncover what she's hiding.

Briella

I've got darkness in my past that I can no longer keep buried. When Daimon finds out the truth, he's going to drop me and run. I shouldn't be falling for my brother's best friend, but I can't stop my feelings from growing. I want him. No, I need him. He's becoming my everything and I have no idea how to be without him. But that choice might not be mine. Once he finds out the truth about me, he's going to walk away because the truth is I'm broken, I'm damaged and my past is coming back to haunt me.

All books in the Untamed Sons universe can be listened to as standalones, but are better enjoyed listened to in order. This is a dark romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. It does have some strong language, graphic violence and content that might be triggering.

Age gap, Best Friend's Sister

This is the first series I've read/listened to by Jessica Ames. I've enjoyed it so far. Book three is a MC, twelve year age gap, best friend's sister tropes that didn't seem to have a lot going on until it did. I was holding my breath with my heart pounding. Briella's story was another heartbreaking one. Loved the HEA.

Oliver Highpoint and Rose McMahon are excellent narrators. They performed with emotion and had this rolling like a movie in my head. Excellence!

Good!

3.5* story
4* narrators
Daimon and Briella

This is the third story in the series. I have only listened to the first one prior to this and I liked this one a bit more than the first one. Poor Briella (Levi's sister) not only did she survive what her dad put her through, then she spiraled out of control trying to put what Sin did. In comes Daimon thinking she's just acting like a little brat comes to the rescue realizes there is more going on and finds himself wanting to protect her and be with her despite the age gap. I liked listening to their story and think the narrators did a good job. I love accents so this was a plus too.

Seeing The Changes

Briella has been through so much and we learn a lot so if you have trigger warnings, you’ll want to check those. I love how Daimon sees how much Briella is struggling and won’t stop until he gets to the bottom of it. These two are a perfect match despite the age-gap and circumstances that are keeping them apart. I absolutely adored the narrators’ accents as even when I’m reading, I can never get them right in my head so the narration was that much more impressive.

Emotional journey of overcoming

I am still fairly new to MC books, which I discovered I enjoy most of the time. I am also new to this series, and although definitely curious about previous books now, I found it was fine as a standalone as we were given enough backstory. There wasn't as much violence as I expected and am used to in MC books such as this...nothing wrong with that, actually was nice, just saying. But definitely trigger warnings should be heeded as Briella does have traumatic events in her past. I loved how sweet Daimon was with her, even if he acted grumpy, and how he was determined to discover her demons and help her fight them even before he realized he loved her. He was perfect for her, they both just had to realize that, and it was heartbreaking how Briella didn't believe he'd stay once he knew her secret... but love was triumphant. There was some edge of you seat suspense and extreme danger towards the end, but mostly it was an emotional journey of overcoming. Narrators were great, I just had to slow it down from my usual speed close to 2x as I'm American so needed a slower speed to understand the accents.

Book 3 - Untamed Sons MC (can be standalone)

This is book 3 in Ames' Untamed Sons MC series and can easily be listened to as a standalone but I think the storyline progresses more if read in series order. First, I have to give big shout outs to our dual narrators Oliver Highpoint, and Rose McMahon who beautifully brought our main characters Daimon and Briella to life. Loved the accent and the smooth vocals just embodied these two. I love the dynamic between out main characters and the growth both Briella's character made as well as the relationship between the two. I thought this had a great balance of action, romance and MC brotherhood (always love the brotherhood in MC reads). A book of strength and redemption and healing. Looking forward to seeing which MC brother falls next!

action packed

I love a good MC story.and this one by Jessica Ames doesn't disappoint. This story is fast paced full of action, drama and danger.
Daimon protects what is his, and gets revenge on anyone who hurts Brielle. Ilove a big strong biker who slays her demons. Brielle and Daimon bring out the best in each other.
Oliver Highpoint and Rose McMahon tell this story with emotions and intensity. Very well done.

Daimon and Briella

4/5 ⭐

This may be my favorite Untamed Sons story yet. I freaking loved Daimon and Briella. The age gap, the club brother's sister, the hurt/comfort, it was all so dang good.

I started to catch on to what happened to Bri pretty quickly, but that didn't make the reveal hit any less. My heart so badly for Bri... It felt like she had to grow up really quickly between her dad and her attacker. She definitely seemed older than her 19 years.

I don't love the insta love trope, but I loved Daimon so much it didn't bother me too much. These two really were so sweet together.

I audio was really good. I really loved Oliver Highpoint and Rose McMahon. Oliver sounded exactly like I pictured Daimon, he had such a deep voice and his accent was vv hot. I loved listening to these two.

It was okay

This book was just okay for me. I don’t feel their chemistry and I can’t connect with the heroine. I feel like she’s weak. I’ve read other books that the heroine was in the same situation and was able to connect and feel their strength. Both narrators did an excellent job at narrating
