From there, the story moves at a fairly steady pace. There aren’t as many twists and turns as in previous installments, but it is nonetheless entertaining.

I’ve been wanting to hear Damon’s story & this one did NOT DISAPPOINT!! I’ve been intrigued by his character since the first book - the dark, broody, sometimes violent type get my blood pumping. This story had me in TEARS and literally made me laugh out loud. I loved the twin relationship between Alex & Damon. James Joseph is a STELLAR narrator! The voices for each character are so different and distinct, you know who is speaking without them being identified by name. DAMON is definitely my favorite BY FAR - the possessiveness, the growl, the “MINE” is SO HOT🔥 - SUPER SPICY!🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This series just gets better and better. I think this storyline has been my favorite so far even though I have loved every single moment of all of them. Damon and Cali are what you’d assume polar opposites but where Damon is dark and hard on the outside he is soft and seeking light. Cali is sweet and light but on the inside she has darkness and an edge to her. They are truly perfect for each other. Damon’s confession of a long time love for Cali was so heartwarming and made even better that Alex knew bc he loves his brother intensely. The entire aspect of family, found or through blood, holds so strong. I was devastated at the fallout with the country club (not going to say anything bc of spoilers) Another thing I love with this story is that the head of the mafia is actually a sweet man to his family. You’d think mafia head means jerk and cruel to everyone but his love of his family and the generation that will take over is really quite sweet. This has just been an outstanding series with the most perfect narration. James and Stella create such dynamic characters. No one character sounds the same as another and that is just a huge accomplishment. At times they could be voicing 10 different people and it just completely flawless. Through 12 stories the characters have sounded the same, never wavering and making you think who is that? Without taglines you can tell which character is which, that is how detailed and precise they are.
