Critic reviews

"This is vintage Jenkins - profane, outrageous, and sharp-eyed in its parody of the world of big-time golf." ( Newsweek)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Solid Perfect?

I listen to it during this years Open Championship so the time overseas was grrrreaattt.

He kept my attension and did not detract from the story.

If you could take any character from Dead Solid Perfect out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Beverly, do I need to say anymore?

Any additional comments?

for a book written in the 70's its a great story for 2012. I will buy the book so I can write down the saying.

Different from the movie.

God a kick fom it's dated nature. The HBO Movie with Randy Quaid was heavily sanitised.

Dan Jenkins best work

insanely hilarious, and still as fitting as in 1971 about life on the PGA Tour. Here's to all the Kenny Lee Pucketts in the world

Chock full of ewwwww.....

The narrator is great, but the story is terrible. This was actually made into a very clever movie starring Randy Quaid, minus all the suck.

Gross listen

Enjoyed the movie so I thought I’d try the book. Big mistake. I don’t know how they made a good movie out of this junk.

Surprisingly Bad

As vulgar and immature as a writer can be. I’ll avoid Dan Jenkins May have grown up since he wrote this. I hope so.
