Light, easy romance.

What made the experience of listening to Dear Lady the most enjoyable?

Historical setting with a somewhat different twist. Excellent narrator!!

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The untamed, undeveloped west.

The strictly romance format - it could have used more depth of character/history.

What does Pam Ward bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The change of voices for each character. Her interpretation of the characters was excellent and her cadence in reading is also excellent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No.

Any additional comments?

This is good, what I call

The lead male voice was difficult to like

This story was sweet enough but lacked depth. It is purely a romance and everything in the story pertains to the growing of the relationship in someway. I prefer a book to be filled with story that includes some romance. I want to really know the characters as a friend and independent of their feelings about each other. I want to see them as they are and not who they are attracted to. This wasn’t a bad book- but I wouldn’t read it again.

Wonderful book.

I loved the book. It made me feel as though I was living in that era and experiencing the life of Beth, the "Dear Lady". If actually convicted my heart to have more of her traits! I've really enjoyed this newfound (by me, anyway) author's books, and Pam Ward is my favorite narrator.
