Meh

The stories were pretty decent, but the AI voice ruined the experience. Not an AI fan.

Virtual voice

The story itself was great but virtual voice detracts from the story. Easy to lose your place with the almost monotone voice and mispronounced words.

Intriguing short stories

Stephen King has always had the most intriguing writing style. Keeps your intrest from beginning to end. Very imaginative.

Teasers

Very suspenseful as is common to all Stephen King's works. Bound to keep you lost in thought.

Big fan of SK- but this was not good

It is hard for me to rate this because I am a huge fan of SK. It was also hard because the narration was so terrible that I had a hard time rating the story separately than the narration. I have almost 500 audible books and this was by far the worst narration! Between the monotone, and the miss pronounced everyday words- and not being able to decipher one character from the next, I had trouble finding the story underneath. I’m sorry SK. It’s m still a fan- just not of this!

Stephen kings short stories are always good!

These stories besides the first have a large focus on technologies gone wild which is interesting, and a fun thing to scratch the brain considering our modern technological developments. The automated reader(sort of ironic to use for these stories lol) is somewhat of a pain and makes it harder to pay attention it is so flat, it also sometimes fumbles words.

Great AI Narration

The stories were average, but this was the best AI narration I’ve heard yet. Most are too halting and unnatural for me to even listen to - this was quite good.

AI ruined it for me

The stories were engaging, though they didn’t quite reach the level of greatness of Stephen King's other stories. Nonetheless, they provided a substantial amount of thought-provoking content, which I appreciated. However, I found the choice of narration to be somewhat off-putting. The use of a female narrator with an English accent for a male character who is distinctly American was difficult to reconcile. While I don’t mind a female narrator voicing male characters, they typically adjust the voice to a deeper tone, aligning more closely with the character's gender and cultural background.

This is the first time I have disliked a King book. I hate the generated voice.
