Publisher's summary

In his authorial debut Aaron R. Tyler produced this edge of your seat crime thriller that you can't put down. There is a serial killer terrorizing the largely rural twin tiers region of Pennsylvania and upstate New York. He enjoys conversation and torture, and leaves behind a calling card. Each of his victims are marked with the letters CR. He is always one step ahead of the police as he kills those who have names from characters in Stephen King novels. When the FBI gets involved, he now has to outsmart the elite team of agents hand picked for the task force trying to track him down. The question is, can they stop him before he makes another brutal and gruesome murder?

Great Story!

Great Story! No HATE the killer and his arrogant, self righteous, narcissist ways but then that’s what makes a good writer and a good character when you forget they’re not real and hate or love them as though they are real. The AI narrative was the only negative thing I can say. I miss a person and the feeling, compassion and mood of their reading. The AI is just not the same, I don’t care for them at all. Keep the AI where it belongs in the computer. But the story and novel is great! A very good read/listen!!

The story left me completely unsatisfied,

At times, the story was extremely interesting, but ultimately it was not worth being related to Stephen King in any way, shape or form, and on top of that the AI Reading of the text was completely unsatisfying. No inflection no emotion completely generic

ugh. AI reader

it's "seven o'clock o'clock"? and the character is from the book IT, pronounced "it", not "eye tee" like it's something to do with computers. pet peeves.

V enjoyable, will be reading the sequels

I fsh this title while looking for some Stephen King titles I didn’t yet have in my audible colletion.I have always enjoyed More. King’s writings, and when I heard the summary of this book, I was intrigued. First let me say, the story itself was very good at least for me. Hearing about how the killer committed the crimes was very interesting. It was very neat to see how the police were trying to solve the crime. I also really loved the twist at the end of the story. I’m glad I have two sequels to read. I know some people didn’t like the narration by synthetic speech. I’m totally blind and I have listened to this kind of reading all my life. The voice that was used wasn’t all that bad. It wasn’t long at all, before I was into the story and didn’t even think about who was narrating the book. So enjoy this book.

Don't Be Fooled By AI

Horrible narration. At first you think you're hearing an actual narrator but then after maybe a chapter, you realize the monotony of the reader. Could've been a great story if not read by a robot who is unable read. listen for the 911 call when the operator says, "Nine hundred eleven, what's your emergency?"

An enjoyable easy read for those who like thrillers!

I was looking for a fun, easy read and this filled the need. It was exciting to listen to the detectives piece together the case and there were some unexpected moments as everything unraveled.

The AI narration was better than I expected, but the program had trouble pronouncing some words (I had to stop and Google titles for FBI agents, and realized that the AI was pronouncing SAC Tessler as Sayek Tessler. It took me out of the story until I figured out what it was trying to say).

Overall if you are a fan of crime novels, Stephen King, and whodunnit stories, you will enjoy this!

Real People Please

The story is pretty good. What sucks is the AI voice doing the reading. There is NO inflection of any emotions. If you want to get people interested/involved then you need a human being to voice the narrative.
