Every Monday evening six people gather in a smart North London house to talk about shame. A respected doctor, a well-heeled housewife, a young male prostitute...they could not be more different. Most relevant  
but liked the character of Nic Tanner and hope to see more of her with Tom Thorne.

I feel as though there was no suspense in this book. Nothing to cause the story to “POP.”
The characters were humble with Chris carrying everyone else on his back. Even Tony couldn’t hold my interest. The dead girl died to late in the story with a simple explanation from her murderer.

I was a bit dissatisfied with the lack of plot. The only reason I kept up the listening is because I like to give an author a chance to impress me and allow him the chance to make me want to read or listen to something else they have written. Maybe I will, or I won’t.

I enjoyed the authors narration.
