I generally like Char, and there are a few nuggets of wisdom in this book, but it was underwhelming for the most part. It seemed to be little more than regurgitated material I’d heard/read before in similar books, coupled with thinly-veiled self-brags.
Another reviewer points out the author refers to her sister so much in this book that her sister should write her own book, and I have to agree.
The narration is annoying. I prefer books which are narrated by the author as it often makes the difference between a good book and a great book. This might’ve been better if Char Margolis had narrated it.
Bottom line: if you are new to this genre, it’s not a terrible place to begin your journey. Otherwise, there’s little to nothing new here on which to waste a credit.
