Wow, what will happen next?
This review is based on an audio-book that I received. It is an honest review and the complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.
'Divener's Curse' by Nicolette Andrews is the story of Maea.
This is the second audio-book in "Diviner' Series.
This series has 3 books.
This audio-book is about 10 hours and 7 minutes long and has an open end. It is easy to continue the story from this point on.
The narrator, Anna Castiglioni has a nice and soft spoken voice. Her voice is very clear, but I think that she doesnt have a nice pacing so that I cant follow the story clearly. I find it very distrubing that she doesnt take the time to pause on certain points. I think that is why I missed a bit of emotion from the characters. The sound quality is good.
This book is the follow up for 'Diviner's Prophecy'. I do recommend reading book one: 'Diviner's Prophecy' first.
I really like this book. I like it even more then the first book. I think because of the first book.
I kept being curious what was going to happen next. I was cought in her web of intrique and lies.
This is the second book I have read from Nicolette Andrews. Her writing keeps your mind occupied and it leaves no room for other stuff.
I didn't finished this audiobook very quick. It took me several days to finish it. Even now the story has ended for me. It still occupies my mind and I am thinking of how I think it is going to end.
As Maea spirals closer to her fate, she and her companions seek shelter in a neighboring kingdom.
Branded as traitors, Maea and her companions arrive in Sanore, the royal capital of Neaux.
They have come seeking a way to save Johai from the spirit that has possessed him.
But the conspiracy that nearly killed her has taken root there as well and in order to change her destiny Maea must make an alliance with her enemy.
Though she swore to find a way to save Johai, destiny is calling her to stop Adair. Before lives are lost in this struggle for thrones.
I absolutely loved every page of it. Maea seemed to grow and mature, and I liked how much stronger and independent she has become.
All the characters were well developed, each with their own personality and backstory. I get to know a little more about Johai and the Spector, as well as Beau and Damara.
However, my favorite character was Jon. As the story progressed I grew to care for him, and I absolutely loved how he has transformed from the first book-he seemed to care for Maea and overall was a fun character.
Overall this was a very enjoyable book. There's magic, mystery, action, politics, romance - everything a good fantasy story needs. I can't wait to read the next one.

a curse or a prophecy
liked this story line better than book 1. Maea is town between love and her destiny and among all that she continues to find herself in the midst of political betrayals. Full of twists and turns will Maea be able to unravel the mysteries that surround her and know who she can truly trust? A good and interesting fantasy read!

Just as great as book one!
The characters are just as engaging as the first book, and I appreciated how vividly they are described. I continued to loathe the characters that deceived Maea, and was fully on the edge of my seat to find out what was going to happen and who would come out on top! Maea definitely continues to grow and develop in this book, and I really enjoyed watching her figure out what type of person she wants to be. So many obstacles are thrown her direction, and looking back I don’t know that she could have handled them in the first book. I appreciated the narration once again in this book, and loved how the tone of each character was done to perfection. The listener could envision how the characters felt in each scene based on the narrator’s vocal changes. I’m totally captivated and looking forward to finding out what happens next! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

AGAIN LIKE BOOK 1 FULL OF ACTION.
I ENJOYED THIS BOOK MORE AS THE SEARS STORY PROGRESSED AND I LEARNT MORE OF HER FAMILY HISTORY AND A SPIRIT APPEAR TO GUIDE HER ON HER QUEST TO SAVE BOTH THE WORLD AND THE MAN SHE REMEMBERS SHE LOVES. BUT THERE ARE SURPRISING TWISTS AND TURNS AND SACRIFICES THAT MADE ME SAD (TEMPORARILY). THE PLOT UNCOVERED WAS RIVITING AND THE ENDING SURPRISING. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE OF THIS SERIES. Much better than Book 1
This story was much better than Book 1. It picked up where Book 1 left off and continued onwards. It also ends in a cliffhanger so be prepared. I feel like the author is getting better at telling the story of Maea and the other characters. The narrator is definitely doing a better job this time around. I'd definitely recommend listening to it but be ready to jump into the next story right away!

Book 2 in Diviner's Triology
Diviner’s Curse by Nicolette Andrews is book two in the Diviner’s Trilogy that I listened to on audio narrated by Anna Castigloni. This book is outside my usual reading genre but I did enjoy it and look forward to reading book three Diviner’s Fate. I enjoyed book two more than book one. Nicolette does a great job pulling you into the storyline. I just had to know how they were going to end it. I will let you know book two also ends on a cliffhanger. Anna did a great job narrating. I enjoyed the different voices she uses for the different characters. It makes it really easy to keep up with the storyline. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Fantasy Royal books.
