About this listen

Single, female lycanthrope: check.

Bills to pay: check.

A bounty for the hottest single lycanthrope on the block: check.

As the sole holdout of the corporate buyout of her apartment building, Joyce Gray is determined to transform her stubborn pride into a masterpiece in order to stay off the streets. Dipping her hands into the dark world of bounty hunting would give her the funds needed to find a new home, somewhere safe from the wolf who’d infected her with the lycanthropy virus.

On the surface, the job is simple. For a period of three days, she must keep Wayne Barnes from returning to the New York City area. The owner of the corporation determined to reduce her apartment complex to rubble has a reputation of being straitlaced and playing for keeps. Worse, her virus is ready to roll over to have her belly rubbed and enjoy some positive and intimate attention.

But with $20,000 on the table and a chance to get ahead for once in her life, she’s prepared to get her hands dirty, no matter the cost.

What she doesn’t know is that this will change her life and plunge her into the murky depths of the black market, where secrets are worth more than money, life is cheap, and anything can be purchased for a price.

Wonderful story!!

I loved listening to this story as much as I enjoyed reading it, except for one major issue. The narrator kept pronouncing the word foal as “fowl”. There is a huge difference between the two. If I had not read the book first, I would have been confused by what she was saying.

Loved it

A great story. Only irritating issue is the mispronunciation of foals. Baby cindercorns are the same as horses, not birds.

Another great story

Once again Keira Grace brings RJ Blains story to life. The story although humorous is also thought provoking dealing with some difficult problems in a positive way.

Absolutely loved it!

A truly great story! We got to meet new friends, revisit old friends, and got a glimpse of what may be coming.
Of course Bailey stole the show in every scene she shows up in. Which is totally cool, because she's just that great.
My only complaint, how the narrator constantly calls foals, "fowls". At first it was confusing. Then, when I realized what was going on, it got downright irritating.

Mispronunciation of the word “foal” is quite annoying, but a good listen overall.

Would really appreciate an updated version with corrected pronunciation. Good storytelling and an interesting world.

Love this story

I love the whole series and I really loved how many of the main characters from previous books made an appearance in this one because it’s starting to pull all the mostly standalone books together. There was a minor quirk in the pronunciation of one word, but it really wasn’t disruptive to the actual story and I’m really looking forward to the next one!

A Great story.

Another Great story in a wonderful series. Even though it brings up tragic stories and trauma it does so in an humerus but respectfully way.

Amazing add to a great series

The book and narration overall are great. My only dislike was the narrator saying fowl isn’t of foal. I would assume someone listens to the recordings and can edit before finalizing

good story

Doggone's a well-written story, It flows well and the characters are likable. The narration could be better, the narrator repeatedly reads the word foal, as in a baby unicorn as foul. Having read the story in print first, it's making me nuts. I know the publisher has full control over the narrator and the author has none, but doesn't somebody do some basic quality control?
