While preparing for her wedding, Julia DeMarco comes across a famous photograph of a little girl in front of a Russian orphanage, and sees her own eyes staring back at her. Fine Story

The storyline was good, and it was entertaining. Personally, I have grown quite tired of Freethy's must-marry-before-I'm-30 heroines. This is the fourth book, and the formula is unchanged.

I think I will give her books a rest. Overall, it is an okay tale.

Page turner for sure

I love this book. I was hooked from the very first chapter! I also really enjoyed the narrator. I prefer a male narrator but was pleasantly surprised. She did a great Job!

Page turner via the ear! Great listen.

Enjoyed from the 1st chapter! Great story good narrator and believable characters with a very good ending. My husband was reading while I was listening - he too thought it a great story and loved the mystery of it!

a great easy listen

I was pleasantly surprised. the plot was complex and held my interest to the end - there was a very good mystery component that was not compromised by the romantic element.

Didn’t care for the narration

The narrators’ voices were so bad and really ruined the story for me. It didn’t come across as current at all, more cringy. I felt like the story seemed from the ‘70s just because of the voices.

Fun, quick

ok, so it's not a great work of literature... it's fun, and easy, and the plot twists keep you interested. The San Francisco setting was cool for a SF resident.
I didn't like the narrator's voice at first- I like to listen at fast speed and her voice as too shaky to listen to that way. Hearing her do blue-collar male was especially hard. But by the end I warmed up to her, and it felt like she was someone who cared about the characters, telling me the story.
