Good story but the reader is terrible

I listen to a lot of books and can usually listen past the reader, but this reader is SO "sing songy" that it ruins the book. I enjoyed the story, since I enjoy the author but the reader ruins it. Every end of each sentence is drawn out. Terrible.

Read the book, don't listen to it.

Great Read

The story was filled with wonderful and diverse characters, a great storyline, romance, and suspense. It kept my attention, and my heart pacing, throughout. If you want a great read, this is the book for you.

cardboard and contrived

Flat. Lifeless. Dull. Save your coin for something better - like an Archie comic or the back of the cereal box. A disappointment given Freethy's previous work.

Poor Narration and Dull Storyline

The narration (or lack of eduting) is very distracting. with long pauses where the narrator is drinking or something. the book goes on too long with a story that is not interesting. nome of the characters are likeable except the Irish Grandma, who is not in the book very much

Drivel

I can't believe I bought romance-drivel! I was hurrying to purchase a long, unabridged book before a long day in the car. Mindless torture.

not impressed

disappointed in this author - the style was bland and the plot seemed really contrived. maybe it was just me. true, there was mystery, but when you really don't CARE who did what and why, then what good is that mystery? just flat.
