About this listen
When entrepreneur Edward Henning builds a horror-based theme park deep in the heart of Transylvania, little does he realize that his new business partner is, in fact, a centuries-old vampire. As the blood-thirsty vampire anticipates the arrival of the thousands of tourists to his land, he soon learns that the modern world is a far scarier place than the one he is used to. The vampire becomes a nervous wreck, as he has to endure the perils of the internet, drunken employees, health and safety inspections, crooked business partners, and even the Thai-Bride of Frankenstein.
Draculand is a roller coaster of laughs and horrors, in a fun-filled ride that you will not want to get off.

I loved it, Tounge in Cheek Story
I was looking for a good story that had Humor, some horror, and a cheeky premise. I have not read this author before and will now keep an Eye out for more by him. I really loved Boris and his loyalty to the count and Aurora.
The Narrator does a very good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline

Unbelievably Imaginative, Unbelievably Delightful!
Take one old, cranky, set in his ways, Vampire, add one enterprisingly, entrepreneurial theme park developer, mix in some unbelievably creative, charmingly lovable, authentically goulash, characters that THIS listener fell head over heels in LOVE with, THEN add a stunning, creative, engaging and imaginative plot and you have “Draculand”! Uproariously funny, fast moving and throughly engaging, the entertainment value of this listen is off the charts! Part horror story, part thriller and yes, part love story, this one has everything and kept this listener completely engaged and entertained throughout! I found myself pausing, backing up and replaying parts because it was just too good, too funny, too delightful not to! It’s been a bit since I’ve had this much fun listening! Seriously, grab this one! The writing, the dialogue, the scene setting - all are imaginative perfection and the narration that brings this gem to life is SPECTACULAR! Talk about upping the enjoyment factor a thousand fold! Voicing, accents, emotion, all present, all perfect! Seriously, don’t pass this one by! Five dynamite packed stars! I loved it!

Fangs, Fun, and Frights Await!
Draculand
By: Steve McElhenny
Narrated by: Sam Legg
I received a complimentary copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you're searching for a delightful escapade that combines humour, wit, and a splash of the supernatural, look no further than "Draculand" by Steve McElhenny, masterfully narrated by the talented Sam Legg. This book is nothing short of a modern classic! It is a five-star gem that captivates the imagination and tickles the funny bone, delivering an experience that you won't soon forget.
From the moment I pressed play, I was instantly transported into the cleverly crafted world of "Draculand." McElhenny's writing is nothing short of brilliant; combining my childhood dreams of adventure, sprinkled with absurdity and charm. The narrative pulls you in with its unique premise—a whimsical and humorous take on the classic themes often associated with vampires and horror. McElhenny has a knack for blending clever dialogue with absurd situations, making every twist and turn of the plot both hilarious and engaging.
One of the standout features of this audiobook is undoubtedly the narration by Sam Legg. Legg’s voice resonates with enthusiasm, perfectly capturing the essence of the characters and the liveliness of the story. His delivery is dynamic; he shifts effortlessly between tones and accents, bringing a rich texture to the experience that enhances the humour wonderfully. Whether it's the comedic timing of a punchline or the gravity of a climactic moment, Legg nails it every time. It felt as if I were sitting entranced in a live theatre production, enveloped by the rich auditory tapestry he weaves with his voice.
The humour in "Draculand" deserves special praise. McElhenny’s wit is razor-sharp, and it manifests in a delightful blend of puns, situational comedy, and comedic observations that will make you chuckle and grin uncontrollably. The characters are vividly drawn, each with their unique quirks and personalities that add layers to the narrative.
“Draculand” is not just a funny tale; it’s a perfectly structured adventure that has all the elements a listener could ask for. The plot twists are clever and unexpected, creating a thrilling yet delightful pace that kept me on the edge of my seat.
I also appreciated how deeply McElhenny has crafted his world. The setting is rich and imaginative, drawing inspiration from gothic elements while infusing it with modern quirks. It felt as if I could visualize the landscape; every scene alive with vivid imagery and detailed descriptions. It’s a testament to McElhenny's storytelling prowess that I felt completely immersed in this delightful universe.
In conclusion, "Draculand" by Steve McElhenny, narrated by the incredibly talented Sam Legg, is an absolute triumph! This audio experience is a rollercoaster ride of laughter, excitement, and clever storytelling that left me eagerly anticipating what would happen next every time I pressed play. Whether you're an audiobook aficionado or a newcomer curious about the medium, prepare to be captivated by this enchanting tale that has everything you could want—humour, wit, and just the right amount of mystery!

Not what I expected
I don’t pretend to be a novice on Dracula But I felt the story line a quite far fetched from your average Dracula story and there was love at the end and I feel that made up for the outrageous tale of a theme park.
The story was narrated beautifully but was not impressed with the story.

Love at First Bite
This book reminded me a lot of a combination of a campy 1980's movie "Love at First Bite" and "Young Frankenstein". Count Radulac is a centuries old vampire who is approached by an entrepreneur named Edward Henning to turn his ancestral lands into a horror based theme park. But, Henning is unaware that the Count is really a vampire and the Count is clueless as to what this partnership will mean.
The author has created a great cast of characters, from the clueless Count to his faithful servant, Boris, who is a hunchback, to a wolf man who just wants to avoid killing anyone in his new form. Add in Hugo Frankenstein and his gigantic Thai-bride along with a host of demonic beings and you are in for a wild ride!
The melding of modern technology with these ancient beings is hilarious and you will laugh at their interactions with laptops, cell phones and other inventions. Then, you have Henning's beautiful daughter, Aurora, who is a horror fan and begins to fall for the Count, who is infatuated with her. But, will this couple be able to fend off the demons that have been unleashed and find true love? You'll have to read the book to find out!
I am a longtime reader of vampire fiction and am always looking for a great new twist. If you like you vampires with a touch of humor, you will enjoy this book. The narrator did a great job and his various voices were perfect for the book. His performance added a lot to my enjoyment of this book. I was given the opportunity to listen to this audiobook by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Vampires Love and Humanity
Draculand is a thrill, a minute story filled with drama, betrayal, loyalty, romance, humor, and a bit of absolute madness. The story is well written with the perfect comedic timing with a sarcastic twist. The characters are well written and perfectly developed. character interaction was on point, and the dialog was brought to life by an amazing narrator. The narrator vocals were on point with all the different characters. I was hooked from the very beginning with this tongue and cheek version of Dracula. The unique storyline in the blurb drew me to the book, and I am so glad I took the chance.
The serious side of the book it showed no matter what or who you are when it comes to love your humanity never truly dies. The story is not all humor it does tackle serious issues like love, bullying, betrayal, and loyalty but in a light-hearted way. I highly recommend this book because you will laugh, get mad, and may even scream at the book, but please don't do that in public, or you may get locked away. Give the book a chance you won't be disappointed.
I received this book for free upon my request. This review I am leaving voluntarily is my honest and unbiased opinion.
