About this listen
From the producers of the Maze Runner trilogy comes this fictional oral history of the appearance of dragons on earth, starring Hayley Atwell (Mission Impossible), Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four, The Shield), Aldis Hodge (Justice League), Greta Lee (Russian Doll, Past Lives), Jimmi Simpson (Dark Matter, Westworld), and a full cast. A riveting listen perfect for fans of World War Z and Sleeping Giants.
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them. When the defense strategy hits on a breakthrough at the same time Neve receives a lead regarding her missing son, she finds herself torn between what is personal to her and what is necessary for mankind’s survival: hope.
Full cast of narrators include: Richard Tatum, Chioke I’Anson, Gail Shalan, Rez Kempton, Judy Gold, Piper Goodeve, Gregory Connors.
Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Humpback whales are among the most intelligent animals on Earth. Some scientists believe they might even surpass humans in self-awareness, empathy, and communication skills. In this episode, we swim with a whale as he teams up with other humpbacks to use bubbles to catch fish, rescues a sea lion, and puts his own spin on melodies sung by whales across the Pacific Ocean. This is the world in its natural state, defined by seasons, routines, and cycles. By the time this whale is ready to close one eye and go to sleep, you will be too.

Unique and Subtly Pertinent
Unique and Subtly Pertinent to our world as it is...
Yes, sure, it has dragons but it also has insight into the human condition and compelling stories of bravery and loss, love and compassion, curiosity and understanding. It is well acted (read) and felt real. It was a documentary about our world and yet it was a fictional accounting of a fantastical event and creatures that aren't real.
I loved it.

A Dragon Nerds Quick-Fix
This was so good- not an epically long tome with 4 books and endless world-building, but still just as satisfying. Dystopian/fantasy/sci-fi all mixed up into a stimulating read. Short and sweet- the stuff you could turn into a hit summer blockbuster.

Poignantly Riveting
I loved everything. The emotional journey alone, the way the author captured the freezing devastation of the situation, and the tenacity, the hope despite the odds, was truly top tier writing. and listening to the full cast of truly talented narrators who just took this book to a whole other level. It was a phenomenal read, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Definitely have something or someone to snuggle while you do, though, no punches were pulled.
